    Task

    设计说明

    首先通过一组照片学习单词并选几组微信动态的图片导入新课,然后由复习Kitty的香港之旅引申到My best holiday的写作。通过分析基蒂的文章结构并给出一些写作指导建议,最后让学生写一篇“My best holiday”的文章。

    教学目标

    通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标:

    1.知识目标

    掌握词汇:delicious, airport, relative, leave for, three and a half hours, on the third day, great fun, some day

    2.能力目标

    (1)将谈论个人旅行经历所需的主要信息整理归类,和同伴讨论一篇文章的构思结构;

    (2)详细描述自己的旅行、度假经历和感受。

    3.情感目标

    了解如何写一篇文章介绍自己的旅行、度假经历和感受的文章,培养学生热爱生活的情感。

    重点难点

    1.重点:将谈论个人旅行经历所需的主要信息整理归类,和同伴讨论一篇文章的构思结构。

    2.难点:详细描述自己的旅行、度假经历和感受。

    PPT 课件;相关图片。

    教学过程

    Step 1 Lead-in

    Show some pictures and ask students some questions about travelling. Teach the new words.

    T: What will you eat if you travel in Qingdao?

    Ss: I’ll eat seafood.

    T: How does it taste?

    Ss: Its delicious.

    T: How will you go there?

    Ss: I’ll go to the airport and take the plane.

    T: Who will you go with?

    Ss: Ill go with my relatives.

    New words:

    seafood  n. 海鲜

    delicious  adj. 美味的

    airport  n. 机场

    relative  n. 亲戚

    Step 2 Presentation  

    1. Show some pictures and share some Wechat moments.

    2. Show them two pictures about tourist attractions in Hong Kong.

    Step 3 Analysis 

    1. Kitty’s best holiday. How does Kitty write her article?

    3. Look through Part A on Page 32 and finish Part B on Page 33. Kitty is writing about her trip to Hong Kong. Help her complete it. Then check the answers.

    4. Analyze the article.

    (1) Retell her trip using the mind map.

    (2)Learn from her trip. Organize ideas with main points and give details to support.

    (3) Further thinking: Did Kitty look forward to the trip to Hong Kong?

    Try to find the answers to these questions in Part B and tell students that writing in order is important and beautiful language is needed when we write.

    (4) Exercise: Put the four paragraphs in right order.

    I entered from the south gate. Facing the gate, it was a grand rockery(假山).

    There were dozens of flowers I couldnt name. It was relaxing to walk on the trail(小径) built of stone steps. Butterflies were flying around us.

    North to the garden was a pavilion(亭),which was for the host to rest and enjoy the view.

    When I walked past the rockery, there was a small but fine garden.

    (5) Analyze the structures of Kitty’s best holiday and show some writing tips. Then do some exercises to consolidate the writing tips. 

    How to write an article about one of your trips?

    Have a clear structure.

    Introduction: When, Where, Who

    Main body:  What ( main points & details)

    Conclusion:  How

    Use the proper order.

    Think of some useful words and expressions.

    Step 4 Language points

    1. My parents and I left for the airport in the early morning.

      我和父母一大早就前往机场。

      leave for 动身去

      The plane leaves for Hong Kong at 10:30. 飞机于10:30 起飞前往香港。

    2. It took us about three and a half hours to fly to Hong Kong.

      我们花了3个半小时飞到香港。

     3个半小时”还可以表达成three hours and a half

     “一个半小时”的两种表达方式one and a half hoursone hour and a half              

    Step 5 Writing

    1. Show a passage in Chinese and ask students to look through.

    去年暑假和父母一起坐汽车去了青岛。第一天去了青岛海底世界(Qingdao Underwater World),看到了各种各样的海洋动物。傍晚去了海水浴场(Bathing Beach),在海水里和沙滩上玩得很开心。第二天去了崂山(Laoshan Scenic Area),崂山的风景优美,拍了许多照片。第三天去了栈桥(Zhanqiao Pier),中午吃了海鲜,给亲戚和朋友买了礼物。我们玩得非常开心,希望能够再去。

      要求:1. 要点表达清晰,适当发挥;

            2. 80词左右;

            3. 语言表达准确,语意通顺、连贯。

    4. Show them a writing assessment table and ask them to pay attention to writing components, criteria and points.

    5. Give students some time to prepare the article.

    6. Show the sample writing and give some explanations. 

      Sample writing:

    Last summer holiday, my parents and I took a coach to Qingdao. It was a long way from Yanghou to Qingdao, so we spent about three hours getting there.

    As soon as we arrived, we went to the famous Qingdao Underwater World. We saw different kinds of amazing sea animals. They were so cute.

    Later in the afternoon, we went to the Bathing Beach. The water in the sea is so cool that we had water fights with each other. Then we had fun on the beach. I even made a sand castle with my friends.

    The next day, we went to Laoshan Scenic Area. The beautiful scenery was so attractive to me that I couldn’t stop taking photos.

    On the third day, we went to Zhanqiao Pier. We bought a lot of gifts for our friends and relatives. Then we went to a seafood restaurant and had a delicious meal. The seafood was so fantastic.

    It was the most amazing trip I have ever had. I am looking forward to visiting it once more.

    7. Give a summary about writing.

    (1) Organize your ideas with main points. (who, when, where, what, how, etc.)

    (2) Give detailed information to support the main points.

    (3) Write your experience in proper order.

    (4) When giving details, think about what you saw, heard and felt.

    Step 6 Discussion

    1. What should we do and what should not we do while we are travelling? Please give more details. You can discuss and look for the information on the Internet or from the newspapers and magazines. 

    When we are travelling, what should we usually notice(注意)?

    (1) Dont throw the rubbish(垃圾).

    (2) Don’t pick the flowers.

    (3) Protect the environment.

    (4) Be careful with the safety.

    (5) Pay attention to the weather.

    (6) Call the police when you are in danger.

    2. Conclusion:

    Love our country, our hometown, our culture, our nature, our life.

    Protect them and enjoy them.

    Step 7 Homework

    1. Write an article about your pleasant trip.

    2. Share your article on Wechat Moments.
