设计说明 先通过Free talk: What should we do to live a green life?直接引出本文的主题——环保。通过听读训练,结合书后练习让学生们对文章内容大体了解;之后通过精读、知识点讲解并结合题目让学生提取文章细节并对文章中重点短语和句型进行记忆和理解。最后让学生通过Discussion增强学生对环境保护的意识。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握单词:separate, allow, punish, fine, depend, rich, wisely, produce, difference, separate into, cut down trees, depend on\upon, cut down trees, run out, make a difference to sb\sth 2.能力目标 (1)通过图片,标题和上下文猜测课文大意; (2)了解瑞士的环保措施; (3)增强学生保护环境的意识。 3.情感目标 引导、教育学生保护环境。 重点难点 1.重点:了解瑞士的环保措施。 2.难点:增强学生保护环境的意识。 教学准备 PPT 课件;相关图片, Reading部分的课文录音。 授课时数 2课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in Ask the students to have a free talk. A: What should we do to live a green life? B: We should… I think we can… Step 2 Presentation 1. Show some pictures to the new words. (1) plastic cups / bags n. 塑料 (2) separate vt. & vi. 分开 recycling n. 回收利用, 循环利用 (3) allow vt. 允许 (4) cut down trees 砍倒 (5) punish vt. 处罚,惩罚 (6) fine vt. 罚款 (7) limit vt. 限制 (8) air pollution 空气污染 (9) depend on 依靠 (10) rich forest resource adj. 丰富的 n. 资源 (11) run out 用完,耗尽 (12) produce little pollution vt. 导致,产生 2. Show some pictures to learn about Switzerland. 3. Ask students one question: What’s the meaning of“green”here? “Green”here means protecting the environment. Step 3 Fast reading 1. Ask students to read the passage and answer the following questions. (1)How is Switzerland? (2)When is World Environment Day? Answers: (1)It is beautiful. It is a country with high mountains and clean blue lakes. (2)5 June. 2. Ask students to read the passage and then match the paragraphs with the main ideas. 3. Analyze the structure of the article.
Step 4 Careful reading 1. Ask students to listen to the first paragraph carefully and answer the questions. (1)What is Switzerland like? (2)What do people there try to do? Answers: (1) It is a country with high mountains and clean blue lakes. (2) They try to keep their country beautiful and clean. 2. Ask students to read paragraph 2 silently while listening and think about the following questions. (1) What can be recycled in Switzerland? Answers: (2) Do you know how to separate waste into different groups? 3. Ask students to read paragraph 3 silently while listening and answer the questions. How does the law help protect the environment? 4. Ask students to read paragraph 4 silently while listening and fill out the chart. Step 5 After reading 1. Why is Switzerland so beautiful? Possible answers: (1)Because people recycle many things to reduce pollution. (2)And waste is separated into different groups. (3)The government makes laws to protect the environment. (4)People use new energy to reduce pollution. Step 7 Language points 1. It is beautiful, and we should try to keep it that way. 它(瑞士)很美,而且我们应该尽力保持它的原貌。 (1)句中的way可以和this, that等连用。 Why does he act this way? 他为什么这样做? (2) try to do sth 尽力做某事 try doing sth 尝试做某事 2. In Switzerland, things like glass, plastic and paper are separated into different groups and then recycled. 在瑞士,像玻璃、塑料和纸被分成不同的类别,然后回收利用。 separate...into... 把……分开,隔开 be separated into... 被……分开,隔开 (1) 那些孩子被分成小组做游戏。 The children are separated into groups for the game. (2) 咱们把孩子们分成6个组。 Let’s separate children into six groups. 3. Some of the clothes are sold in charity shops, some are given to the poor, and others are sent to factories for recycling. 一些衣服放在慈善店出售,一些送给穷人,还有一些送到工厂循环利用。 句型some..., some..., and others... 表示“一些……, 一些……, 还有一些……”。 Some students are reading quietly, some are taking notes, and others are searching for information on the Internet. 一些学生在安静地看书,一些在做笔记,还有一些在上网查资料。 4. ...We are not allowed to cut down trees. ……我们是不允许砍伐树木的。 allow sb to do sth允许某人做某事 sb be allowed to do sth某人被允许做某事 My boss doesn’t allow me to use the telephone. 老板不允许我使用电话。 Her son is not allowed to play computer games in his spare time. 她儿子不被允许在空闲时间里玩电脑游戏。 5. Otherwise, we will be punished. 否则,我们将会被惩罚。 punish sb for sth/doing sth因某事/做某事而惩罚某人 The teacher punished them for their rudeness. 老师因为他们的粗鲁而责罚他们。 My father punished me for breaking that window. 我爸爸因为我打破那个窗子而惩罚我。 6. Nature is our greatest treasure. We depend on its rich resources to live, so it is important for us to protect it wisely. 大自然是我们最大的财富。我们依靠其丰富的资源生存,所以要理智地保护它,这一点对我们来说很重要。 (1) be rich in... 在……方面很丰富 He is rich in experience. 他经验丰富。 Oranges are rich in vitamin C. 橘子含有丰富的维生素C。 (2) wisely adv. 明智地,充满智慧地 wise adj. 明智的 选用wise或wisely填空 He is a wise person, but he doesn’t know how to spend money wisely. 他是一个聪明人,但他不知道如何明智地花钱。 (3) depend on/upon “依靠,依赖,取决于” Success depends on/upon hard work but not luck. 成功取决于勤奋,而非运气。 I don’t want to depend too much on/upon my parents. 我不想太依靠我父母。 7. These new types of energy cost very little and will never run out. 这些新型能源不仅成本低廉,而且用之不尽。 句中run out的意思是“用完,耗尽”。 My pocket money ________ and I’ll have to ask my mother for some. 我的零花钱已经用完,我得向妈妈要一些。 注意:run out 一般物做主语,用主动形式表被动; run out of... 用完…… 一般人作主语。 His money will run out soon. 他的钱很快会花光。 He will run out of his money. 他会把钱花光的。 8. Remember that everyone can do something to make a difference! 记住,每个人都可以做些事对保护环境产生影响! 短语make a / no/ some/ much difference to …意思是“对……有/没有/有些/有很大作用、关系、影响”。 The rain did not make much difference to the game. 这场雨对比赛没有多大影响。 Step 7 Homework 1.
