老师用Guessing game引领学生回顾本单元的重点词汇，为接下来的学习做好铺垫。讲解本单元重要的语法知识——反身代词的用法和情态动词can的用法，用习题来检查语法的掌握情况。利用教材活动进行听、说训练，完成综合运用部分和自我检测内容。用教材上的歌曲Say the Word结束本单元的课程。

通过本课节的教学，学生达成以下目标：

(1)复习本单元新学的单词、短语和句型；

(2)掌握本单元的语法：反身代词的用法、情态动词can的用法。

(1) 熟练掌握与本单元话题相关的语言结构；

(2) 掌握电话日常交际用语。

通过学习英语，学生培养与外国人沟通的能力，养成多听、多说、多练的好习惯。

Step 1　Guessing game

Ask the students to play the Guessing game.

Show some pictures to the students. Ask the students to look at them carefully and guess the words or phrases in this unit. See who can get the words and phrases correctly and fast.

Step 2　Building Your Vocabulary

Ⅰ. Search for words from this unit and write them down.

Ⅱ. Fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the phrases in the box.

Step 3　Grammar

一、反身代词的用法

（一）反身代词是一种表示反射或强调的代词，意为“……自己”。反身代词与它所指代的名词或代词形成互指关系，在人称、性质、数上应保持一致。

（二）反身代词的基本形式：

1. 作宾语，表示主语和宾语是同一个(或一些)人或事物。

The child can dress himself. 这个孩子能自己穿衣服。

2. 作同位语，常用来加强语气。

I can make donuts myself now. 现在我能自己做面包圈了。

（四）含反身代词的常用短语：

by oneself 独自　teach oneself 自学　enjoy oneself 玩得开心，过得愉快

help oneself to 随便吃/用……

二、情态动词can的用法

1. 表示能力，意为“能，会”。

Can you drive？你会开车吗？

2. 表示客观可能性，意为“会，可能”。

   He can be very friendly at times. 有时他会很友好。

3. 表示请求允许(和may意思相近)，意为“可以， 能够”。

   Can I use your pen？我可以用你的钢笔吗？

4. 表示惊异、不相信等(用于疑问句或否定句中)， 意为“会，可能”。其否定形式can’t意为“不可能”。

This can’t be true. 这不可能是真的。

An Example:

English is important to everyone. We study English at school. And we may use English at work. So it’s important to learn English well. Here are some tips for learning English.

1. Try to remember more words. Words are the foundation of a language.

2. Practice speaking English bravely. We should not be afraid of making mistakes.

3. Listen to English music or watch English movies. It’s helpful to improve your pronunciation.

Step 7　Self-Evaluation

Instruct the students to complete Parts I, II and III of the Self-Evaluation by adding more examples to each section. (i.e. If they give four examples in Section I, they earn four stars for that section. If they give one example for Section II, they earn only one star for that section.) Check the answers.
