设计说明 本单元利用图片引出新课,激发学生的学习兴趣,鼓励学生去发现外面的美好世界。通过听读任务,帮助学生更好地理解对话内容。通过不同层次的教学设计,强化重难点知识的操练。适机地归纳动词的过去式,帮助学生整理、建立新知识的学习框架,能为学生熟练运用一般过去时打下基础。通过设置谈论有关假期的各种疑问句式,帮助学生搭建表达和交流的平台,鼓励学生把所学知识进行综合运用。 教学目标 通过本单元的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标: (1)掌握单词:Pacific, so, guess, excited, wow。 (2)掌握句型:Where did you go? How did you go there? What did you do there? Who was with you? How was it like? 2.能力目标: (1)能读懂关于假期旅行的对话。 (2)学会询问和回答关于假期旅行的话题。 (3)能正确运用一般过去时谈论过去的事情。 3.情感目标: 通过谈论旅行,拓展学生的眼界,并激发学生了解世界的好奇心。 重点难点 重点:一般过去时的特殊疑问句。 难点:实义动词的过去式。 教学准备 PPT 课件;图片(加利福尼亚,好莱坞,洛杉矶,太平洋等);活动1、2、4的录音。 授课时数 2课时 教学过程 Step 1 Warming up Ask and answer. T: What day is it today? S: It’s Wednesday. T: What day was it yesterday? S: It was Tuesday. T: What did you do yesterday? S: I… Step 2 Presentation 1. Show some beautiful pictures of the USA. T: I went to Hangzhou last weekend. I hope to have a journey to the USA one day. Would you like to have a journey to the USA? Now let’s enjoy the beautiful pictures.
2. Ask the students to read the places in Activity 1. a) California b) Hollywood c) Los Angeles d) Pacific Ocean e) Santa Monica f) Disneyland 3. Look at the map carefully in Activity 1. 4. Ask the students to find the places on the map. 5. Play the recording and ask the students to listen to the recording carefully. 6. Let the students listen and number the places as they hear them. Check their answers. Answers: a 1 b 4 c 2 d 6 e 5 f 3 Step 3 Listening and reading 1. Listen to the recording in Activity 2. And then choose the best answer. 1 What is Tony going to do on holiday? A. Go to England. B. Go to Los Angeles. C. Go to the Paris. 2 How was Betty’s journey? A. It’s boring. B. It’s great. C. It’s bad. 3 How long did it take to get to Los Angeles? A. Nine hours. B. Five hours. C. Ten hours. 4 Who was with Betty? A. Her mom. B. Her dad. C. Her mom and dad. Answers:1—4 BBAC 2. Ask the students to read the conversation quickly. And then answer the questions. 1 How did Betty get to Los Angeles? 2 How did Betty get to her friends’ home? 3 Why was Betty excited at Disneyland? 4 How long did she stay in Disneyland? 5 Where did she go swimming? 3. Check the answers in pairs. Answers: 1 She flew there. 2 Her friends drove her. 3 Because she met Snow White and Mickey Mouse. 4 She stayed for two days. 5 She went swimming in the Pacific Ocean at Santa Monica. 4. Learning to learn. When you read a passage describing a series of activities, try to make notes of: Who What Where How When 5. Play the recording again and ask the students to listen and read the conversation. 6. Read the conversation in pairs. 7. Act it out. 8. Ask the students to remember the past form of the verbs in the conversation. go—went enjoy—enjoyed do—did take—took get—got fly—flew meet—met drive—drove is—was stay—stayed see—saw swim—swam 9. Learn “Everyday English”. Guess what? Wow! It was great! Step 4 Language points 1. Where are you going on holiday, Tony? 你假期打算去哪儿,托尼? (be) on holiday或have a holiday意为“在度假”。 We’ll be on summer holiday. =We’ll have a summer holiday.我们要过暑假。 2. I went there two years ago. 我两年前去的那儿。 当句子中有ago时,常用一般过去时。ago常用于某个时间段之后,且时间段前面不用介词,意思是“······以前”。 three days ago 三天以前 a moment ago 片刻之前 3. How long did it take to get there? 去那儿用了多长时间? take“花费”,常用的句型:It takes sb. some time to do sth.“某人花费多长时间做某事”。 It took me two hours to do my homework last night. 我昨天晚上花了两个小时做作业。 【拓展】spend既可表示花费时间,也可表示花费金钱。常用人作主语。常用句式: sb. spend(s) time / money doing sth. sb. spend(s) time/ money on sth. The woman spent lots of money on clothes. 这位女士花费好多钱买衣服。 4. Then our friends met us and drove us to their home. 然后我们的朋友与我们碰面,并开车带我们去了他们家。 (1)meet的过去式为met。 (2)drive的过去式为drove。 drive sb. to sp. 开车送某人去某地 5. I was so excited! 我如此兴奋! (1)so 的用法: ①副词, 意为“这么,那么”,修饰形容词或副词。 He was so busy.他是如此忙。 ②连词,意为“所以,因此”。 I like trip, so I like holidays. 我喜欢旅游,所以我喜欢假期。 ③副词,意为“如此,这样”,代替已经陈述的事。 I think so. 我认为如此。 (2)excited “感到激动的,兴奋的”。常用短语: be excited about/at sb./sth. 对某人/某事感到兴奋 My grandma is excited about watching Beijing opera. 我奶奶对观看京剧感到很兴奋。 【辨析】excited和exciting: excited形容词,意为“激动的,兴奋的”。说明人的心情和感受。 The woman is so excited when she sees her best friend. 当她看到她最好的朋友时, 那位女士是如此激动。 exciting形容词,意为“令人激动的,兴奋的”。说明物本身所具有的 性质。 The news is exciting. 那个消息是令人激动的。 Step 5 Practice 1. Ask the students to read the words and expressions in the box in Activity 3.
