2023届新高考英语高频考点专项练习:专题十五 考点26 概要写作(C卷)1. 阅读下面短文根据其内容写一篇60词左右的内容概要。    A group of children are going to attend the International Conference on War-Affected Children in Winnipeg, Canada, from September 10 to 17. Coining from war-tom countries, they will all wear hats during the conference. The hats are meant to prevent them from being identified when they return home. They might be punished for speaking out against war when they return. But there will be some children who will not wear hats, and will even talk to journalists, according to a recent article in The Indian Express.    The children will have a two-day meeting behind closed doors to discuss what is happening in their countries. About 25 Canadian children will also join the conference. The points they make will be discussed later by ministers from 60 countries.    Does this mean that adults are now accepting that they have made a mess of things, especially in politics? We don't know what the adults will make of the conference, but there are enough examples around the world of children voicing their hopes for peace. For instance, an impressive school children's movement in Colombia succeeded in making their national legislature(立法机关) vote for peace. The movement was even nominated (提名) for the Nobel Peace Prize.    In the past 10 years, over two million children have died during wars and more than five million have been physically disabled in violence. Many children ended up in refugee camps during wars, separated from their families or orphaned. Others were forcibly recruited (征募) into armies, or joined them voluntarily.    However, it is worth mentioning that there has been United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, and most countries have signed it. The Convention recognizes the right of a child to a secure childhood, to the love of parents and family, to education and health.    Being one of the earliest countries to sign the UN Convention, Canada has decided to host the conference. It is being hoped that the conference will get politicians to agree on the way governments and armies should behave with children in times of conflict.____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________2. 阅读下面短文根据其内容写一篇60词左右的内容概要。    Have you ever felt that you are training for hours on end but not getting the results you are hoping for? If you mostly feel that way, then you should know the training's quality is more important than its length in terms of improving your abilities. Practicing deliberately can transform the way you train, thus sharpening your skills.    Practicing deliberately is practicing with intention and attention, as opposed to a mindless and unintentional way of just repeating the same things over and over again, leading to the same results on many occasions. If we want to see a real improvement, especially in our areas of weakness, we should be more mindful of how we train. Practicing deliberately is practicing purposefully and systematically, meaning that staying focused, even for a short period, is an essential aspect of the training. As we've mentioned before, it's not about how long you can practice; it's merely about the quality of the training, the consistency of your training, and your ability to stay on a task.    So how can we practice more deliberately? Firstly, feedback is vital, whether it is self-feedback or from someone else. Examining and analyzing your performance is crucial for your improvement. Secondly, set appropriate goals, not too high as we have to keep ourselves motivated, yet not too low as we must consistently expand our comfort zone. For example, if you think your box-fighting game is weak, then invest your time there. Lastly, start practicing slowly and then pick up the pace. Starting slowly and building good foundations will help you to improve in practically every aspect. If you want to build good foundations and improve muscle memory, you should go slow. When going slow, we have a chance to analyze and process our movements.    In conclusion, deliberate practice is one of the most useful techniques you can apply to improve your skills. Following the guidelines above will help you get the most out of your practice time. More than anything, the quality of your efforts and the perseverance (坚持不懈) of your actions will determine how well you will do.____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________3. 阅读下面短文根据其内容写一篇60词左右的内容概要。Work is a very important part of life in the United States. When the early immigrants came to this country, they brought the idea that work was the way to God and heaven. This attitude still influences America today. Work is not only important for the salary, but also for social and psychological working, being productive. For most Americans, they are what they do. What happens, then, when a person retires at the age of sixty-five or seventy? It's easy to imagine that retirement is no easy thing. Retirees often feel they are unproductive and no longer needed by others. Once people retire, they may also get into financial trouble. Many people rely on Social Security checks every month. During their working years, employees contribute a certain percentage of their salaries to the government. When people retire, they receive this money as income. These checks do not provide enough money to live on, however, because prices are increasing very rapidly. After retirement, they have to change their lifestyles. They have to spend carefully to be sure that they can afford to buy food, fuel, and other necessities. Of course, not all senior citizens feel sad when they are in face of retirement. Working for so many years, they eventually have time to spend with their families or to enjoy their hobbies such as reading, traveling or joining some senior citizen clubs. Some continue to work part time; others choose to do volunteer work like helping young people to get started in new business. American government is taking steps to ease the problems of retired people. They are building new housing, offering discounts in stores and museums and on buses, and providing other services, such as free courses, food service, and help with housework. It is wise to do so. Retired citizens are an important part of the population and their special needs must be concerned about. After all, everyone will be a senior citizen someday. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________4. 阅读下面短文根据其内容写一篇60词左右的内容概要。If you haven't seen or heard anything about Road Rage (路怒) in the last few months, you've probably been avoiding the media. There have been countless stories about this new and scary phenomenon, considered a type of aggressive driving. You've most likely encountered aggressive driving or Road Rage recently if you drive. Why is this phenomenon occurring more than ever now and why is it something that seemed almost nonexistent a few short years ago? Experts have certain theories and all are probably partially correct. One suggestion is overcrowding. In the last decade, the number of the cars on the roads has increased by more than 11 percent, and the number of miles driven has increased by 35 percent. However, the number of new road miles has only increased by 1 percent. That means more cars in the same amount of space; and the problem is even serious in urban areas. Also, people have less time and more things to do. With people working and trying to fit extra chores and activities into the day, street levels have never been higher. Stress creates anxiety, which leads to short tempers. These factors, when combined in certain situations, can cause Road Rage. You may think you are the last person who would drive aggressively, but you might be surprised. For instance, have you ever yelled out loud at a slower driver, sounded the horn long and hard at another car, or sped up to keep another driver from passing? If you recognize yourself in any of these situations, watch out!Whether you are getting angry at other drivers, or another driver is visibly upset with you, there are things you can do to avoid any major conflict. If you are easily influenced to Road Rage, the key is to discharge your emotion in a healthy way. If you are the target of another driver's rage, do everything possible to get away from the other driver safely, including avoiding eye contact and getting out of their way.____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________5. 阅读下面短文根据其内容写一篇60词左右的内容概要。Every culture has set rules about how people should act. Patterns of good behavior, or manners, show respect and care for others. Yet the details of how to express respect vary. Greeting people cheerfully is almost always considered polite. But it's more important in some cultures than others. For example, when you enter a store in France, you should always greet the person working there. Other cultures also value greeting people. But of course the greetings vary as people speak different languages. When I was growing up in the United States, I once participated in a performance at my church. Afterward, someone gave me a compliment, but I felt like I had done a bad job. So I tried to refuse the compliment, saying, "No, I didn't do that well." My mother got my attention and told me that was very rude. Later I learned that refusing a compliment is accepted and even approved of in China. Some of the biggest cultural differences have to do with table manners. In North America, it's polite to eat as quietly as possible. That means chewing with your mouth closed and not slurping(吃东西时发出的声音)your soup. The same goes for burping(打嗝). But in parts of Asia slurping shows that you are enjoying your meal. And burping is a sign of being full and content. There are also differences in how people eat across cultures. For example, in North America and Europe people use forks to bring food to their mouths. But in Thailand, a fork is only used to push food onto a spoon. In India and the Middle East, people eat with their hands. But eating with the left hand is forbidden. This is because the left hand is considered unclean. Yet there are also similar points across cultures. Saying "please" and "thank you," for example, is almost always polite. If you show appreciation and try to follow local customs, people will generally respond well. Showing kindness can bring people together, no matter what culture they come from. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________6. 阅读下面短文根据其内容写一篇60词左右的内容概要。    Is the traditional family dinner a thing of the past? In today's households where both parents go to work and kids have busy schedules with school, an array of afternoon activities and much homework, finding time for a gathering at the table seems impossible. Yet, studies have shown time and again that eating together has multiple benefits for family members, especially children.     According to a number of reports issued by the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University, children who eat at least five times a week with their family are at lower risk of developing poor eating habits, weight problems or alcohol dependencies, and tend to perform better academically than their peers who frequently eat alone or away from home.    "Eating together as a family is not just about food and nutrition. Food has become so easily and cheaply available that we no longer appreciate its significance," says Professor Robin Fox, who teaches anthropology at Rutgers University in New Jersey. "We have to rediscover its importance and its value. Sharing a meal with loved ones should be considered a special event, which can almost take on the form of a ceremony, as it was practiced by our ancestors, for whom finding food was a constant struggle."    Besides appreciation for the value of food, there are also many social elements that come into play when families share meals, says Miriam Weinstein, author of The Surprising Power of Family Meals. The dinner table can be the perfect environment where kids learn how to conduct conversations, observe good manners, serve others, listen, solve conflicts and compromise.Of course, there is no guarantee that the simple act of eating at home surrounded by family will save children from developing unhealthy lifestyles or making regrettable choices down the road. It may not make them more virtuous (品行端正的) or socially more responsible. But it can form a basis for a lot of things that point them in the right direction.____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________7. 阅读下面短文根据其内容写一篇60词左右的内容概要。Teens' Sleep Shortage    Most teens need about 8 to more than 9 hours of sleep each night. The right amount of sleep is essential for anyone who wants to do well in tests or sports. And lack of sleep affects everything from a person's ability to pay attention in class to his or her mood. It also damages teens' ability to do their best in athletics. Unfortunately, research shows that many teens don't get enough sleep, and more than 20% of high school students fall asleep in class.    Until recently, teens were often blamed for staying up late, oversleeping for school, and falling asleep in class. But recent studies show that teens' sleep patterns actually differ from those of adults or kids. These studies show that during the teen years, the body's biological clock is temporarily reset, telling a person to fall asleep later and wake up later. This change might arise from the fact that the brain hormone melatonin (褪黑素) is produced later at night for teens than it is for kids and adults. This can make it harder for teens to fall asleep early.    These changes in the body's biological clock are in line with a time when they're busier than ever. For most teens, the pressure to do well in school is heavier than when they were kids, and it's harder to get by without studying hard. And teens also have other time demands—everything from sports and other extracurricular (课程外的) activities to fitting in a part-time job to save money for college.    Early start time in some schools may also play a role in this sleep shortage. Teens who fall asleep after midnight may still have to get up early for school, meaning that they may only squeeze in 6 or 7 hours of sleep a night. A couple hours of missed sleep a night may not seem like a big deal, but can create a noticeable sleep shortage over time.____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________8. 阅读下面短文根据其内容写一篇60词左右的内容概要。    Have you heard an old saying "The grass looks greener on the other side of the fence"? It means other places often look better, more interesting than the place where you live. "Let's go to KFC for dinner and then watch some Japanese cartoons!" We all know it: more and more Chinese kids love American and Japanese food and movies. Some people worry that young Chinese are beginning to feel that way. They see young Chinese ignoring (忽视) Chinese culture and, instead, buying Japanese cartoon books, watching Korean soap operas and even celebrating western holidays.    Foreign books and soap operas are good, but Chinese writers and actors are just as good. As for holidays, Christmas is nice, but it can never have the meaning for Chinese that the Spring Festival has, and the West has nothing to compare with the Mid-Autumn Festival. China has lots of cool things in its culture: calligraphy, Beijing Opera and quick meals on the streets! And let's not forget the part of Chinese culture I like best: its friendliness. Not all countries are as warm as China.    It's good to enjoy other cultures and learn from them, but they can never replace your own culture. It's good to look on the other side of the fence, but make sure you take a good long look. You will find that the grass isn't always greener.    Although some people become worried about that, I don't think they should. Will we get more powerful without learning from other countries? Will Chinese people live more happily without American fast food? Besides, it's fun to learn about different cultures. Chinese kids can learn about other cultures and have fun, but they also need to learn more about their own culture. Be proud of Chinese culture and of being a Chinese!____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

答案以及解析1.答案:     Some children will attend the International Conference on War-Affected Children and discuss the things being happening in their countries. Their proposals will be discussed by the ministers from many countries later. In fact, many children have spoken up for peace. In the past 10 years, millions of children have suffered a lot from war. Canada hopes children affected by war can be well treated by hosting the conference.2.答案:     Deliberate practice improves the quality of your training, thus developing your skills. It is defined as practicing intentionally and attentively, which requires you to remain purposeful and concentrated. There're three strategies to master it; gaining feedback, setting a proper target, and starting slowly and then speeding up. In a word, you will achieve a good result if you endeavor and stick to it. 3.答案:     Work plays an extremely important role in American culture, so people find retirement difficult as they may feel useless without jobs. Retirement can also bring financial problems as Social Security checks don't provide enough money. However, some senior citizens feel happy about retirement as they finally get time to do what they really want. American government is solving retired citizens problems and concerning their special needs, which is wise and necessary, because everyone will get old. 4.答案:    Road Rage has received much attention in the past few months. Experts put forward some partially correct theories that can result in Road Rage. It may be surprising to find that every one of us can be a Road Rage driver. Fortunately, there are some reasonable ways for you to get out of Road Rage when you are annoyed with other drivers or another driver is in rage, such as avoiding eye contact, getting out of the way and so on. 5.答案:   It's about culture difference Greeting cheerfully is polite anywhere Refusing compliments is rude in America but acceptable in China. Making a sound while eating is impolite in North America but not in parts of Asia. For example, people eat differently with people in some areas preferring folks while some with hands. Anyway, similarities still exist like saying "please" and "thank you".6.答案:    Studies find that eating together as a family, which nowadays seems impossible for busy parents and kids, is actually beneficial. First, it can contribute to children's better physical health and academic performances. It also offers a platform where kids can learn to appreciate the value of food and develop social skills. Though sharing meals may not ensure children lifelong wellness, it can at least guide them on the right track.7.答案:     Although enough sleep plays an important role in studying efficiently and performing in sports, researchers indicate many teens are suffering sleep shortage. The major factor lying behind is the change of adolescent biological clock, which causes them to sleep late. Meanwhile, busy and challenging high school life leaves them less time for a good sleep. Early morning classes are also to blame for its contribution to teens' sleep loss.
8.答案: Many young Chinese prefer foreign items, considering them to be better. However, Chinese culture is equally good, colorful and even more meaningful, such as its festivals, calligraphy and friendliness. Foreign cultures, which are not always good, can never replace your own culture. In a word, Chinese kids just need to learn more and take pride in Chinese culture while enjoying other cultures.
