5. There be句型

(1) 含义：表示某处有某物/人。

(2) 构成：There be(is/are)+某人/物+某地

(3) 句式：

肯定句：There is/are +某人/物+地点。  如：There are some students in the classroom.

否定句：There is/are+ not+某人/物+地点。  如：There isn’t a post office near here.

一般疑问句：Is/Are+ there+某人/物+地点？

如：Is there any water in the bottle? Yes, there is. / No, there isn’t.

(4)“就近原则”：There be句型中be动词和后面的主语保持数的一致，即若后面的主语为可数名词单数或不可数名词，用is；若主语为可数名词复数，用are；若是两个或两个以上并列主语时，be的形式与离其最近的一个主语在数上保持一致，即“就近原则”。

如：There is a pen and some books on the desk.

There are some books and a pen on the desk.
