I had just learned English, and frm what little I culd gather frm my friends, Santa Claus wuld cme dwn ne's chimney and put tys in ne's stcking n Christmas Eve! What a great cuntry, I thught. After I lked up “stcking” in my ChineseEnglish dictinary, I knew what I had t d and always expected that day. Finally, the big day came. On that wnderful night，after everyne went t bed, I sneaked 偷偷ut f bed, tk my lngest, cleanest knee sck and attached it t a nail 钉子already n the mantel(壁炉架). Obviusly, the previus wners f this huse were n strangers t Santa Claus. Gazing at the sck and imagining the delicately精致的 packed gift in it, I culdn't help giggling(咯咯笑). Fr the first time, I fund it hard t fall asleep. And fr the first time, I wke up befre everyne else in the early mrning. Then I headed straight fr the fireplace and was even ready fr what t say after seeing the gift. Hwever, what happened next was the least thing I wanted t mentin. On the nail was the empty and lnely sck. I was hit by the reality f the empty sck and the biggest lie ever tld. I tried my best t hld back my tears but failed. Bursting int tears, I quickly tk dwn the sck and stuffed 塞 it in the back f a drawer.Every December since then, the tpic f Christmas memries wuld unavidably cme up, and I wuld amuse my friends with my prlittleme stry. I had t make it as funny as pssible, r else I wuld cry nce again. I didn't knw whether any f my audience ever nticed the sparkling tears hidden in my eyes.
