Then ne day last year, a friend f mine helped me ut. She talked t Animal Helpers abut getting me a special trained dg. She als thught a dg might cheer me up. I lve animals and I was excited abut the idea f having a dg.
After six mnths f training with a dg at Animal Helpers, I was able t bring him hme. My dg’s name is Lucky — a gd name fr him because I feel very lucky t have him. Yu see, I’m nly able t have a “dg helper” because f yur kindness!
Lucky is very clever and understands many English wrds. He can understand me when I give him rders. Fr example, I say, “Lucky! Get my bk,” and he des it at nce.

be sure that“认为……一定会;确信”,主语必须用表示人的名词或代词来充当,that可以省略。be sure后面还可以接由whether,where,when,wh等引导的名词性从句,这时主句通常为否定形式。

(2)“make +宾语+名词(短语)”,意为“使某人/ 某物成为……”。
(3) “ make +宾语+ d sth.”,意为“让某人做某事”。
例:不要再让那个小孩哭了。 Dn’t make the baby cry anymre.
make, let等使役动词以及lk, watch, see, hear, listen等感官动词在主动语态中常接不带t的动词不定式作宾语补足语,但是在被动语态中t要还原。
