Teaching steps:
Step 1 Review (3mins)
(1) Enjy a sng abut days in a week and students will hear sme wrds such as Mnday, Tuesday and s n.
(2)I will ask students t write the 7 days , and ne student will write in the frnt f the classrm, and t find ut whether he/she has dne it crrectly.
Step2.Lead-in(2mins)
I will shw a picture f calendar. Students shuld lk at it carefully and they will knw tday is Mnday, June 4th. Then just lk at 1a, there is anther calendar, please fill in the first line and check the answers.
Anther task in 1b. I will invite sme students t read these wrds in 1b ne by ne and give them ne minute t fill in the calendar, and check the answers.
In the end, I will draw a cnclusin that Sunday, Saturday are weekends, Mnday t Friday, all these wrds are weekdays.
Step 3 Presentatin(5mins)
After that, I will ask students if they can make sentences with wrds in the chart and then guide them t lk at 1c. There is an example. Students wrk in pairs t read the cnversatin and try t make mre cnversatins by themselves in 2 minutes
----What’s tday? ----It’s Mnday the 14th.
I will give them 3 minutes t prepare and then invite 4 pairs t share their cnversatins.
Step 4 Listening(10mins)
This listening task is very easy, s I will nly play it twice. The first time they shuld finish 1c circle Yes r N. Then I will play it again, they shuld match the activities with the days.
Befre listening, I will tell students it is a cnversatin between Andy and Vince. And Andy is asking Vince t play tennis with him.
After listening, I will let students knw Vince is t busy, s Vince can’t play tennis with Andy .What a pity.
Step5 Grup wrk(10mins)
In this step, I will present tw pictures f new mvies and ask students “D yu want t watch mvies?” Wrk in grup f 6 and try t find ut wh can g t the mvies with yu. And each grup , I will invite ne student t give us a reprt. Students will have 5 minutes t finish this part. I will ask 2 students t frnt. There are sme sentences that may help them.
