Step 2 Presentation

1. T: The New Year is coming. I’m going to learn a foreign language, such as French. That’s my new year’s resolution. I also have three other resolutions for new year. Can you guess?

2. T: These are my friend’s Bob’s resolutions.

(T shows the pictures and the resolutions of Bob next year.)

1. Ss ask the teacher about the resolutions by using “ Are you going to… ?”

2. Ss finish 1a and say the sentence like this: Bob is going to get good grades next year.

To learn the key words and sentences of this lesson.

To consolidate the new knowledge.

Step3 Listening

1. Listen to 1c

T: Lucy, Kim and Mike are talking about their resolution next year. What they are going to do next year?

2. Listen to 1d

T: How are they going to make the resolutions come true?

1. Ss listen to 1c and choose.
2. Ss listen to 1d and fill in the blank.
3. Ss read after the tape.

2. Ss finish 3b and 3c. Write down the composition on a piece of paper.
3. Some Ss read their compositions.
