    Ability aims: Students can grasp key infrmatin while listening. Students can describe and make dialgues abut the best mvie theater r the best supermarket in ur city.
    Emtinal aims: Students can knw abut the best persn r thing arund us. Students can understand that there are a number f peple wrth us t learn frm.
    Teaching Imprtant Pints:
    1. T master the key wrds and phrases.
    2. T learn the basic structure f superlatives.
    3. T describe the best mvie theater r ther places in the city.
    Teaching Difficult Pints:
    1. Hw t crrectly grasp the key wrds while listening.
    2. Hw t describe peple r things by using superlatives.
    Teaching Prcedures:
    Step 1 Warming up and Lead-in
    1. Greetings.
    2. Talk abut last weekend activities.
    T: My dear children, hw are yu tday? By the way, where did yu g last weekend? Well, where did I g? Can yu guess?
    3. Teacher shws sme pictures n PPT and let students knw where the teacher went last weekend.
    4. Lead the whle class t learn the new wrds in this perid by talking abut watching mvies.
    T: D yu like watching mvies? We ften watch mvies in the … Where?
    What mvie theaters d yu knw in ur city? …Is it far frm ur schl?
    (Teacher shws sme phts n PPT.)
    T: D yu want t g t the mvie theater nw? Let’s g! Fllw me!

    New wrds: theater, clse, ticket, screen, seat, cmfrtable. (Write n the blackbard)
    5. Play a bm game with students t help them remember the new wrds.
    Step 2 Presentatin
    1. Brainstrm
    T: What’s imprtant fr a mvie theater?
    Invite several students t share their ideas and write the phrases n the blackbard. Teacher can give students sme hints. Fr example, let students pen the bk, lk at the pictures and ask sme questins t lead them find ut what is imprtant fr a mvie theater. (T: D yu hpe t wait fr a lng time? S what is imprtant then?)
    Then let students read the phrases n the blackbard tgether.
    2. Wrk n 1a
    T: Please finish 1a in 1 minute. Write the things under “Imprtant” r “Nt imprtant”.
    One minute later, invite sme students t share their thught by saying, “I think … is (nt) imprtant.” Then let students knw that different peple may have different pinins.
    3. Wrk n 1b
    T: We’ve talked a lt abut mvie theaters in ur city. Our friends Jack, Anna and Ken are als talking abut mvie theaters in their city. Let’s cme t 1b. Can yu guess what mvie theaters are in their city? (Teacher leads students t lk at the pictures in 1b and knw that thse are the names f mvie theaters in their city.)
    Befre listening, let students read the statements tgether and make sure that they knw the meaning f these statements. And remind them t try t catch the key wrds while listening. Students finish 1b and then check the answers by inviting students in a line t reprt their answers.
    After that, play the recrding again and let students turn t page 98, lk at the listening material and fllw the tape sentence by sentence. Meanwhile, let them pay attentin t the prnunciatin and intnatin and try t imitate it.
    4. Try t find
    T: Please lk at the statement again. Can yu find sme similar things?
    Teacher leads the whle class t find ut the similar parts f these sentences. Then mark them and tell students they are superlatives. And make sure students knw the basic structure f superlatives.
    Step 3 Cnslidatins
    1. Drill
    Drill the chart in 1b. Befre that, invite a student t help the teacher t make a sample dialgue fr the whle class.
    A: What’s the best mvie theater?
    B: …
    A: Why?
    B: Because…
    Then the first line, let bys ask and girls answer. The secnd line, Grup A ask and Grup B answer….
    2. Pair Wrk
    Let students make cnversatins abut the best mvie theaters in Ganzhu in pairs in 2 minutes. Then invite tw pairs t present their cnversatins.
    3. Grup Wrk
    T: Since we talked a lt abut the best mvie theaters, let’s make a survey: What d yu think is the best supermarket in Ganzhu?
    Divide the students in grups f fur. Let them discuss abut it by using the target sentence structure in 3 minutes. And then let them chse ne f their members t give us a reprt n it. Give students an example n PPT t help them.
    Invite tw r three grups t reprt. Make a cnclusin abut their reprts.
    Step 4 Summary & Hmewrk
    1. Summary
    Invite tw students t summarize what they learnt tday. Then teacher makes a supplementary. (New wrds, superlatives, sentence structure)
    2. Hmewrk
    Write six sentences t say abut the tallest, the mst handsme…students in class.
