导入 | Step 1 Lead in Show some pictures of famous sports stars and ask what they like for three meals. Ask whether they are healthy or not and ask them the reasons. I use some pictures to begin the lesson. The pictures are about sports star’s eating habits. And they can easily attract the students’ attention. After students answer the questions, students have ideas about health. The word “healthy” is mentioned for three times ( My purpose is to arouse interests at the beginning ,lead the new word “healthy” and new topic of this class “eating habits and prepare for the while-reading part”. ) Now let’s have a free about eating habits. | |||||
知识讲解 (难点突破) | Step2 Pre-reading: Free-talk: What fruit do you like?I like… What do you like for breakfast/lunch/dinner? I like…… for breakfast/lunch/dinner ( My purpose is to review the food words that students have learnt before ,especially the countable nouns and uncountable nouns ) And I use the alternative sentences to ask questions and then ask the students to have a free talk. For this, I use the communicative approach. (As for simple language points, students can use the target language as soon as they learn it) Step3 While-reading (Here I use the task-based approach: Task-based learning and can get the whole class active in thinking. ) Before the tasks I divide the students into seven groups, so they can have a competition, that will make them more active.) Fast reading: Skim the passage and answer the two questions. Skim: read something quickly in order to find a particular point or the main point. ( My purpose is to develop students’ reading strategy) Scan the passage, circle the food words and fill in the chart. Scan : look at every part of something carefully, especially because you are looking for a particular thing or person. ( My purpose is to develop students’ reading strategy) Careful reading 1. Read the passage carefully and answer the questions. 2. Tell “T” or “F” and correct them. | |||||
课堂练习 (难点巩固) | Step5 After-reading (1) Fill in the blanks. ( My purpose is to retell the passage and have a revision about the article , especially the forms of the countable nouns and uncountable nouns and verbs ) (2) Discuss Does the sports star eat well? Why?
