Step I Warming up
● Greetings and self-introduction.
● Free talk: When is your birthday?
When is your father/mother’s birthday?
(设计意图:与学生的日常交流能很好地拉近师生间的距离,给当天生日或临近生日的学生送上一份小礼物更让学生觉得心里很温暖,很开心。)
Step II Learn about the activities
● Task 1 presentation
Show some pictures about the activities: soccer game, school trip, School Day, book sale, English Day, art festival, Sports Day and party.
(设计意图:图片和熟悉的音乐声为学生的活动学习创设了语言情境,让学生在轻松的情境中学习新词汇,为下一环节作好准备。)
● Task 2 Games
Guessing Game
Attract students’ attention by guessing some of the activities.
(设计意图:小游戏能让学生的学习兴趣更浓,这个猜活动的小游戏不仅激发了学生的学习兴趣,而且进一步巩固了新词汇。)
Making sentences (30 seconds limited)
Add dates to make sentences with the activities.
(设计意图:仿真30秒倒计时给学生营造了一种紧迫感,这一环节让学生在激烈的竞争中练习使用上面的新词汇,尝试挖掘学生的学习潜能。)
Step III Read the notice
● Task 1 New words learning
Show the word cards and learn the words.

Lead students to read quickly and get the general idea.

Lead students to read carefully and complete the chart in activity 2b.
