How to save money to visit Shanghai Disneyland?
The “happiest place on earth” is a top destination on many families’ bucket lists. But taking a vacation to Disney World can be difficult to do on a budget. There are some considerations that you can make to reduce the cost of your Disney World vacation.
1.Buy Souvenirs in Advance
Disney has influenced practically every industry, which makes it easy to find Disney items anywhere, from Walmart,Target, and your local grocery store to department stores and Amazon. You can save a lot of money by purchasing items before your trip at these less-expensive places than at Disneyland.
2.Make an Autograph Book
An autograph book is seen as a must-have by many Disneyland enthusiasts and is a memory you can take home with you. These books can cost anywhere from $7.95 to $19.95 at the Disney Store and up to $30 for the latest-and-greatest autograph book at Disneyland, such as the park’s 60th anniversary edition.Other choices can get the job done for under $5.For example, you can buy a small photo album, cute pads or notebooks.
3.Eat Breakfast before You Arrive
Breakfast is almost as pricey as lunch or dinner if you eat inside the Disneyland parks. If you have a hotel with a free breakfast, take advantage of it.If you want to eat out,eat at a local restaurant that is inexpensive or has a kids’ menu, such as McDonald’s which is close to the park.
4.Take Advantage of Discounts Offered to Special Groups
Disney offers a wide variety of discounts, including for military service members, college students, teachers, and youth groups. If you think you might qualify for a special discount or group rate, call the Disneyland Resort to book tickets.
21.It may take you more money to buy souvenirs at .

In China,Major Cold(大寒) is the last solar term in winter and also the last solar term in the annual lunar(阴历的) calendar. In this period, snow, rain and icy cold weather have a big influence on people’s lives.
Here are several things you should know about Major Cold.
Eating “dispelling(驱散,消除) cold cake”
During Major Cold, people in Beijing have a habit of eating “dispelling cold cake”,a kind of rice cake.Sticky rice, the cake’s main ingredient, contains more sugar than rice, which can make people feel warm all over their bodies. In Chinese the word “rice cake” has the same pronunciation with the word “higher in a new year”,which symbolises good luck and continual promotion.
Eating fried spring rolls
In Anqing of Anhui Province, people traditionally eat fried spring rolls during Major Cold. They use a round, cooked, thin pancake to wrap stuffing in a thin roll. Then it is fried in a pan with oil until it turns yellow and floats to the top.The stuffing inside the spring roll contains meat or vegetables and the flavour can be salty or sweet.
Drinking stewed(炖的) soup
People in Nanjing of Jiangsu Province like to drink stewed soup during Major Cold, which can make people feel warm from head to foot. They always stew the aged hen soup with ginseng(人参),matrimony vine(枸杞) and black fungus(黑木耳).

Stay-at-home kids are named “generation nini” in Spain. They are those adults who still live at home and are neither working nor studying. But the problem is not limited to Spain. It is a worldwide problem.
In Italy, they are known as “bamboccioni” or big babies. There are nearly 60 percent of 18-34-year-old adults still living in their parents’ home,up from almost 50 percent since 1983.Once kept there by the love for their mama’s home-cooked food, the economic crisis has seen a rise in adults left unable to hold down a steady job or afford a home of their own.Last year,an Italian government minister admitted that his mother washed his clothes and made the bed for him until he was 30.He demanded a law forcing young Italians to leave their parents’ home at 18 to stop them becoming hopelessly dependent on their parents.
In the UK,the government has made the term NEETS—not in employment, education or training for these children. In England alone the percent of NEETS aged 19-24 surged to 18.8 percent of the age group—in the last quarter of 2010,up 1.4 percent on the same period a year before. The number of British men in their 20s living with their parents has risen from 59 percent to 80 percent in the past 15 years, while the number of women has risen from 41 percent to 50 percent. The average age of the first-time house buyers is now 38.
In the US,the problem is known as the “full nest syndrome(综合征)”.Adults there are left struggling to support adult children who have stayed at home with student debts and facing few job opportunities in a weak economy.A recent study showed almost a third of American adults aged 34 and under are living with their parents.
28.“Big babies” mentioned in Paragraph 2 refers to those adults who .
A.depend on their parents for a living
B.are not as smart as others
C.lose their job in the bad economy
D.are poorly educated
29.The Italian government minister thinks that .
A.parents should make their children feel hopeless
B.parents should never make the bed for their children
C.young people should live on their own after 18
D.it is OK for adult children to live with their parents
30.The underlined word “surged” in Paragraph 3 can be replaced by “ ”.
A.moved B.reduced
C.recovered D.jumped
31.What does the last paragraph tell us?
A.America has the most adult children compared with other countries.
B.American parents are happy to live with their children.
C.Some American adult children are causing trouble for their parents.
D.It is a tradition for adult children to live with their parents in America.

I was once told,“You are wasting your time on a career that will give you no money or comfort.”
I explored my interests for years and finally decided to be a journalist. However,I’m still influenced by others’ arguments:print publications are being replaced by web versions where content is updated nearly every time you refresh the browser. But I hold onto my decision. Why?For the simple, yet powerful reason that it makes me happy in a way that no amount of money ever could.
Rarely have I found others who think like this, and I find it very disappointing when I hear students trying to design their lives on the basis of factors other than keeping to their passions and interests.
The number one factor is parents. They certainly have a right to be a part in their children’s lives, but sometimes their words create more stress than encouragement.Instead of trying to make their children happy,as their original purpose may have been, parents can end up limiting their children’s dreams and desires until nothing remains but the hard seeds of a cruel reality.
The second factor is money.I had a conversation with my college friend one afternoon, which explains this point.
“What happened?” I asked him after he said he had changed his major.“I thought you wanted to be a photographer.”
“I do,” he said,“But there is no money in it.Don’t worry,” he added, probably feeling my worry.“I’m happy where I am.” I was ready to believe that, but as we kept on talking,he continuously interrupted me to point out the beauty of this view and that view, saying he wished he had taken his camera with him.
Naturally,we cannot predict where we will end up with our choices. Our ideas and plans could change as we progress. However,at this stage in our lives when so many voices are telling us who we should be,we need to value our individual dreams, not to abandon them, because they may be the only things left that tell us who we are.
32.Why is the author determined to be a journalist?
A.He could get a high pay.
B.He is influenced by others.
C.He is truly interested in journalism.
D.He has been studying journalism for years.
33.What does the author think of parents’ role in their children’s career choice?
A.They shouldn’t try to influence their children in any way.
B.They help their children make the right choice of a career.
C.They should support their children whatever they choose.
D.They may destroy their children’s dreams of a certain career.
34.What do we know about the author’s friend?
A.He doesn’t care about what his job will bring him.
B.He is still deeply interested in photography.
C.He has lost his confidence in his abilities.
D.He is doubtful about his new choice.
35.The author thinks that when choosing a career, .
A.one should not consider their individual dreams
B.one should take a lot of factors into consideration
C.one’s desires and interests should come first
D.one should be realistic about future income

Food preservation
Local cuisines often depend on how people traditionally prepare food for storage. In warm weather, meat and fish can go off quickly,so they must be cooked right away or preserved for later. 38 ,for that reason, modern Norwegian cuisine includes many smoked food.
Cooking techniques
39 .In China, people often fry food in a deep metal pan or steam it in a basket over hot water. In Morocco, people cook traditional dishes in a special pot called a tajine. And some local dishes aren’t cooked at all.
Imported(进口的) ingredients
Sometimes local cuisines include ingredients that originally came from another place. 40 ,while many Russian dishes are made with potatoes. However, all of these ingredients were brought to Europe from South America in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. But now they are common around the world.
A.Seafood is often a key ingredient in coastal areas
B.There is a danger that local food traditions will be lost
C.Many different cooking techniques are used around the world
D.For example,Italian dishes often include tomatoes and peppers
E.These local dishes can become symbols of a place and its culture

(Text 6)
M:Mrs Montgomery?I’ve been trying to figure out when we should have the New Year’s party.Could you take a look at these dates?
W:Sure. The twenty-ninth is out.I’ll be out of the office all day at a seminar.Either the twenty-eighth or the thirtieth is fine.
M:Well, why don’t we make it the thirtieth? We can have it from three to five. That way, everybody can just go home afterwards.
W:Sounds good to me.You make the invitations.I’ve got to run.I’ve got a meeting in five minutes.
(Text 7)
W:Hello,February’s Department Store.Can I help you?

(Text 10)
M:Hi,I’d like to talk to the manager about something.I have to travel every day from Souk Road to the airport.Only the Number 16 bus travels along this road.Your timetable is there. It shows that there are buses from Souk Road to the airport every ten minutes. If this is so,why do I have to wait half an hour for a bus nearly every day?The rules say that if there are empty seats on a bus, they just stop at every stop where people are waiting. Why is it,therefore, that half-empty buses go straight past me when I am standing at the bus stop? The rules say that no bus may carry more than 40 seated passengers and 20 standing passengers.Yesterday I was the first to get off the bus when I reached the airport.I counted the other passengers as they got off. There were 129 of them.Clearly printed on the back of every bus is a sign that says “Highest speed:50 mph.” The distance from Souk Road to Kai Tak is 12 miles. On Saturday morning a Number 16 bus travelled this distance in 10 minutes. At times,it must have done at least 80 or 90 mph.It is obvious that our bus companies have no respect for the rules or consideration for the passengers. Can nothing be done about this?
