1. Ask Ss to look at the title and the picture in 2b, then answer the questions:

Read the sentences after the passage in 2b.Try to put them in the proper logic order.Then read the passage quickly and see if the order is right.Do not spend too much time on the new words at this stage.

Work on 2c.

1.Ask Ss to read the passage again and answer the questions.Each of the five try to answer one of the five questions in 2c.

2. Then discuss their answers and check the answers in class.

Work on 2d.

1. Discuss the reading strategy of the unit.Explain idioms and phrases and how important they are in learning.Read aloud the first paragraph and get Ss to find the idioms and phrases.

2. Ss read the rest of the passage.Find the idioms and phrases.Learn the new words and idioms.

3.Finish the task in 2d.Discuss in pairs and then replace the underlined parts with the phrases they find.

本部分是课文细读部分。每读完一次都要完成相应的任务，以检测对文章的理解。通过问题设计，让学生带着问题阅读，提高他们的英语阅读能力以及解决问题的能力。运用本课时的阅读策略，记忆重要的短语和习语。

1. Ask Ss to fill in the blanks according to the story, then check answers and make Ss read it.

2.Work on 2e.

Ask Ss to read aloud the passage once again.One student reads the aside words, boys read the father's words and girls read the peter's.

Ss work in groups.Ask some Ss to role-play in class.
