A woman who lost one leg in a traffic accident is seeking to break a world record by completing 102 marathon-length runs in 102 days.A marathon is a race that goes 42 kilometers.
Jacky Hunt-Broersma,who lives in the Westem American state of Arizona, set her goal last month. And every day since then, she has been running the distance of a marathon. Most of the time, she runs on roads and trails near her home.Sometimes she completes her runs on a running machine. If she keeps successfully completing marathon-length runsevery day,she would reach her goal three months later. She would then hold the world record for completing 102 back-to-back marathon runs.
The current world record of 101 marathons was set on April 10 by British runner Kate Jayden. The 35-year-old Jayden does not have a disability.
Hunt-Broersma said that until five years ago,she was not very active. But then she looked into running and decided to give it a try.The sport ended up being quite costly.Currently, she runs on a prosthetic(假体的)leg made out of a strong, light material known as carbon fiber. The carbon fiber blade she uses, which is designed specifically for running, costs about $ 10,000.But Hunt-Broersma says her investment has been well worth it.
One of her recent runs was the world-famous Boston Marathon in Boston,Massachusetts. She finished that race, held on April 18,with a time of 5 hours and 5 minutes.
Hunt-Broersma's main support team is her husband and their two young children. She is posting her progress online and has also gained a large social media following. As she nears the end of her goal,Hunt-Broersma is hoping to inspire a dream in others, regardless of their own physical limitations. She tells people,"You're stronger than you think-and you're capable of so much more.”

Forecasting the technological future is difficult. Back in the 1980s,the thought of carrying around a small, portable phone seemed to belong in the world of science fiction. Then in the 1990s,imagining a phone that would allow you to surf the Internet something that didn't even exist until 1990 was unheard-of. Today, smartphones can surf the Web,run applications and play games, and those with a near field communication(NFC)chip can act as a way to make purchases. And they can still make phone calls, too.
So what will phones look like in 2050? Based upon phone customer behavior,I imagine the future phones will rely more on combiningour physical lives with our digital lives. They probably won't be similar to the ones we're reusing now. They'll be built into other devices and products.Imagine a pair of glasses that can display a digital overlay on top of your physical surroundings.
I don't think video chat is taking off despite services like Skype and FaceTime.Rather, the trend seems to be toward asynchronous(非同步的)communication. That means the two or more people in a conversation complete a discussion over time.
We might even see the phone part of phones disappear. Recent phone customer behavior suggests that texting is a more popular way to communicate than telephone calls. Future phones will need a way to display messages but don't necessarily include voice communication.
Since we're talking about 2050 here, there’s even the possibility that research into brain-computer interfaces(脑机接口)will have reached a point in which we won’t need a physical screen or microphone at all. Electronics could be built into clothing. You'd link the devices to an interface connected to your brain and post messages just through thought. I’d be a form of telepathy(心灵感应).
But what do you think? Will we be wearing devices that let us communicate easily? Or will we be carrying around the iPhone 47 and answering texts between games of Angry Birds? Let us know your predictions.
32.What will future phones be like according to the author?
A.Texting may disappear.
B.NFC chips can be used for purchasing.
C.Phones will combine our lives with our work.
D.Phones may be built into other products.
33.With the development of brain-computer interfaces,
A.we may send messages just through thought
B.phones can be connected directly to your brain
C.clothing may be made into the screen of phones
D.telepathy between people and animals may come true
34.From the text, we know that
A.people started surfing the Internet in the 1980s
B.we will be carrying around the iPhone 47 in 2050
C.the author's prediction about phones is based on phone customer behavior
D.the author is negative about the development of brain-computer interfaces
35.Which column of the newspaper does the passage come from?
A.Economy.
B.Science.
C.Health.
D.Entertainment.

A great number of people can get injured or even killed resulting from a human stampede(蜂拥). one of the bad things is that a peaceful group of people can quickly turn into a crazy panicked crowd. 36
If you are in a crowd, the most important thing is to make yourself familiar with your surroundings and mentally notice the exits.37,make sure you always know how to get out. Make yourself ware of the type of ground you are standing on. If you are in a crowd of moving people, wet or uneven round can be slippery or dangerous, causing you to fall.
Be aware of the general atmosphere of the event, as panic situations can often be expected. When in anger, a few seconds can make all the difference. If you find yourself in the middle of a moving crowd, do not fight against the pressure and do not stand still or sit down.38.Take advantage of any space that may open up and try to move sideways to the crowd movement where the flow is weaker.
Keep your hands up by your chest, like a boxer(拳击手).It gives you movement and protects your chest.
39.If you fall and cannot get up, keep moving by crawling in the same direction of the crowd,or if that is not possible, then cover your head with your arms and curl up(蜷缩). 40 sometimes, finding a right posture can save your life.
A. If you fall, get up quickly
B. No matter where you are
C. Instead, move in the same direction of the crowd
D. If you are stepped on, you should shout for help
E. What's worse is that the stampede can be caused while there seems no actual danger

To raise the awareness of environmental protection, our school organized a tree-planting activity in City Park last week.
With everything ready, we headed to the park where we started to work right away. We were divided into three groups with the first group digging holes, the second planting trees and the third watering the seedlings. Time flied. Within two hours, twenty young trees stood there on the hill, dancing in the wind. Tired as we were, breathing in the fresh air, we felt refreshed and amply rewarded.
Through this activity, not only did we get close to nature, but we learned a green environment was no easy task.
