Match the sentences with the similar meaning. First go through the sentences by themselves and match them then.T checks the answers with the Ss. Work on 1b. T may asks one student read the phrases and the nouns. Tell Ss to match the phrasal verbs with the nouns. Then make sentences with the phrases.        I've run out of it.       I take after my mother.       I fixed it up.       I gave it away.T lets some Ss stand up and tell their sentences. Listen and number the pictures[1-4] in the correct order.T plays the recording for the Ss. Ss just listen for the first time. T plays the recording again and Ss number the pictures.  Check the answers.Work on 1d.. T lets Ss read the sentences in 1d first. Tell Ss to listen again and judge the sentences True or False.   T plays the recording for the Ss to listen and judge. Check the answers with the class.   Ask Ss to listen again and try to  fill in the blanks.
