    Unit3 Lesson 14 Amazing Animals.Teaching aims and demands (教学目标)     1. Knowledge aims(知识目标)a.Newwords:long-eared,jerboa,mouse/mice,kiwi,lay,long-nosed,eggplant,shake,flap,avoid. b. New phrases: look like, remind sb.of sb./sth., asas, national animal ,be famous for, up to, all over the world, fly out ofc. key Sentences:1)With their long ears, they also remind people of rabbits.2)Their ears are much longer than their heads. 3) They are famous for their large noses. 2. Ability aims(能力目标)a. Be able to talk about the language points freelyb. Be able to understand the text 3. Emotion aims:(情感目标) Be able to help each other; Love the animals and protect them, make our world a better place to live.. Teaching important points and difficult points:(教学重难点) How to use the key words, phrases and sentences in this lesson.. Teaching aids:(教学辅助设备) multimedia sets.Prepare lessons before class:(课前准备) preview the new words and phrases in the text.. Teaching methods:(教学方法) Five step method; Self-studying and Helping each other. . Teaching procedure(教学流程)At the beginning of the class, play a video of animal world, let the students watch and have a brain storm. and let them know that animal world is wonderful.Step 1: Leading in情境导入)Show them four pictures of animals that they are familiar to, and let them talk about their favourite animals, then show their dialogues. After that ,lead to further study. Step 2: Reading comprehension(阅读理解)Task1: Listening(听力) a. Listen and judge true or false. First let the students listen carefully. Then show the right answers in pairs.Task 2: Fast reading.(速读) Read the text quickly and answer the questions . First talk in pairs, then report them to the whole class.Task 3:Careful reading(细读) Read the text again and then fill in the blanks on the book, then ask them to show the answers in pairs. Then check with the teachers.Task 4: Read the text carefully again(再读). Partner A help Partner B to find language points and the teacher give some explanations.Task 5: Read the text loudly.大声读Partner A try to check Partner B. Pay attention to the pronunciation, stress & intonation.Step 3: Consolidation(梳理巩固)First let the students read the new words and phrases after a good Partner A. Then try to read and remember them. Then check with each other.Step 4: Extension(拓展提高)Task 1: Retell the text.Task 2: Finish the exercises.Step 5: Summarize(总结归纳)Task1 Ask: 1.What have you learned in this lesson? 2. What do you think your partner and yourself? (great, good, not bad)3. Do you think which pairs are the best? Task2: Homework(家庭:Writing: write a short passage about your favourite animal.Emotional sublimation(情感升华): Animals are our friends ,we should love and protect them, because we live in the same world. Then play a song one world, one dream.Teaching reflection 教学反思):In this class, I combine English teaching with multimedia sets well in this lesson. With the help of courseware, show the students lively pictures, wonderful music, moving video. Create a good teaching environment. Make the students take part in the study actively. So we can finish the teaching aims better and improve the students abilities.
