2.学习一些用于介绍动物和谐相处的句式:
① sometimes different animals live together.
②The egret helps the rhino stay healthy.
③They ate,slept and swam together.
3.总结不定代词的用法。
重点难点
1.掌握一些与动物生存有关的词汇:live,help,make,danger, friend.
2.运用所学知识介绍动物生存的情况。
3.掌握以下重点句子:
①I used to think only the same animals live together.
②The egret helps the rhino stay healthy by cleaning its iskin.
③What a beautiful relationship they have!
④Good friends can show they care without words.
教学思路
本课主要涉及动物之间的友谊的介绍。在授课之前先让学生整理动物之间的友谊的情况。课上可让学生通过小组合作的形式相互交流;在此基础上,教师通过幻灯片、图片向学生展示动物和谐相处的场景,并让学生用英语加以描述。

教学过程
Step l Lead-in
Discuss the following questions:
1.Do you think there is friendship between animals?
2. What different animals have you seen living well together?
Discuss the questions in groups. Divide the class into groups of three or four to finish the task. After several minutes,let some students come to front to show it.
Step 2 Listening
Listen to the tape and answer the following questions:
1.What animal can live together with rhino?
2. What do animals live together for?
3. How old is the tortoise Mzee?
Finish the task in class orally.
Step 3 Reading
Read the text and answer the following questions:
1. What is the relationship between the egret and the rhino?
2. Who is Owen? Who is Mzee?
3. How did people feel when they heard the story of friendship between Owen and Mzee?
4. Do good friends need to say something to show they care?
Finish the task in class orally.
Step 4 Activities
1.Read the text again and let the students retell the passage in their own words. Don’t read the passage. Let them sum the main idea of the two letters. Ask some students to speak in front of the class.
Step 5 Come to “Let’s Do It ! “.
Listen to the tape, finish Exercise l together.
Read the lesson again and finish off Exercise 2.
Ask the students to finish off Exercise 3 by themselves.
Step 6 Homework
1. Finish off Exercise 4 in “Let’s Do It ! “.
2. Finish off the exercises in activity book.
