Thunder is the sund made by lightning.Depending n the nature f the lightning and distance f the listener,it can range frm a sharp,lud crack t a lng,lw rumble (brntide).The sudden increase in pressure and temperature frm lightning prduces rapid expansin f the air surrunding and within a blt f lightning.In turn,this expansin f air creates a snic shck wave which prduces the sund f thunder.
