It was Sunday, December 7, 1941. As usual, the wake-up call came at 5:45 a.m. The men abard the warship USS Arizna stretched and rubbed their eyes. Seaman Russell Warriner was awakened by Quartermaster Luis Cnter. Russell made his bed and helped clean the huge, shared rm. The men went t the washrm, dressed in their unifrm and sat dwn t breakfast. It lked like it wuld be a nrmal day n bard the ship.
But nbdy ate their breakfast: at that mment, there was a huge crashing sund frm abve. The ship shk vilently and the men lked at each ther in hrrr. Abve their heads, hundreds f Japanese planes circled like eagles. They were diving dwn t drp bmbs n Pearl Harbr. The scream f their engines was deafening.
As bmbs thundered all arund, cluds f black smke rse int the sky and hung ver the sea. Russell felt his bld freeze, but he quickly came t himself and rushed up t the deck. Mments later, a bmb hit the USS Arizna and Russell was thrwn mre than 100 meters acrss the ship. He suffered serius burns n his hands, arms and legs, and watched many f his friends die.
He suffered serius burns n his hands, arms and legs, and watched many f his friends die.
这样记“一感”(feel)、“二听”(listen,hear)、三让”(let,make,have)、“四看” (lk at,see,watch,ntice).
试比较: I heard her sing.
I saw him (eat)a hamburger. I saw him (eat)a hamburger.

In the chas and cnfusin after the attack, the US Navy sent a message t his family that Luis had been killed in the attack. Luckily, he was able t get in tuch with them befre the message arrived. Despite his remarkable actins, Luis did nt think that he was a her. “The heres are the nes that gave their lives that day," he said.
