The dctr and I rushed back int the perating rm immediately. The pr creature was in critical cnditin. The nly place the skin was still attached t this pr little animal’s bdy was arund ne shulder. The vet wrked tirelessly fr what seemed like hurs, stitching him back tgether again. That was the easy part. The puppy had brken multiple bnes, including his spine. If he was lucky enugh t survive the next few days, we were quite sure he wuld never walk again.
The day frever changed my life. The veterinarian instructed me, and I became his assistant in all things medical. One f my first jbs was t give that Dberman puppy daily physical therapy. I mved his tiny legs n a regular basis t keep his muscles frm weakening.
Weeks went by until ne day, I felt this little fighter push back ever s slightly. And he cntinued t push back till he culd finally use his legs. What a miracle!
Day by day, the little fighter made a little bit prgress until the vet called his wner telling him that his puppy was ready t g hme. Having accmpanied the puppy fr several mnths, I culd imagine hw excited and relieved the yung man was. And I was sure he wuld tk gd care f. Tw days later, the puppy was taken away by his wner.
