Interactive sftware that "reads" and analyses ftprints left by black rhins(犀牛) can be used t mnitr the mvements f the animals in the wild, giving cnservatinists a new way t keep watch n the endangered species and help keep it safe frm pachers(偷猎者) , accrding t a Duke University-led study.
The sftware, called the Ftprint Identificatin Technique (FIT), uses advanced technlgy t analyze mre than 100 measurements f a rhin's ftprint. Because each rhin's ftprint is as special as a human fingerprint，the analyzed images can be cllected electrnically in a glbal database f previusly cllected ftprint images fr matching.
