Ms Hurd retired at the age f 62.By then,she had taught fr a ttal f 41 years.Even after her retirement,she cntinually made a prject f unwilling students in whm she spied a spark f ptential.The students were mainly frm the mst trubled hmes,yet she alternately bullied and charmed them with her wn special brand f tugh lve,until the spark caught fire.
