Lesson 27: Danny at Home
设计说明 首先,通过一个对话引入本课话题;然后,利用图片设置情景呈现本课的生词,并练习生词;接着,通过听后填空、阅读回答问题等环节让学生逐步理解短文和对话内容,并在此基础上进行复述或对话表演;最后,对本课重点内容和句型进行总结和练习。习题1、2、3根据需要放到对应的课文和对话后随堂使用,习题5放在完成课文教学之后使用。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握单词:bedroom, dictionary, front, above, thirty 短语和句型:in front of…, How old is he/ she? He/ She is … (years old). How old are you? I’m… (years old). 2.能力目标 能用合适的介词描述人或物的方位;能够正确使用谈论年龄的句型。 3.情感目标 养成善于整理、善于归类的习惯,把自己卧室的物品整理得有条不紊。 重点难点 1.重点:本节课重点单词、短语、句型。 2.难点:能用英语描述人或者物体的方位。 教学准备 PPT 课件;与本课节相关的音频。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Leading in Get the class to have a conversation in pairs like this, then check them: A: Do you have a bedroom of your own? B: Yes, I do. A: What’s in your bedroom? B: There is …. A: Where is the…? B: It’s … A: Where are the…? B: They’re … … Step 2 Word studying Teach the new words bedroom, dictionary, front, above and thirty by showing some pictures. Make sure the class can read them and know their meanings.

/ˈdɪkʃənrɪ/ n.字典;词典 I have an English dictionary. It’s my good friend.
/frʌnt/ n. 前面;正面 I am standing in front of my grandfather.

/ˈθɜːti/ num. 三十 Ten and twenty is thirty.
Step 3 Warming up Teacher says: Where is the teddy bear? Look at the pictures and fill in the missing letters to complete the position words. (Let’s Do It! No. 1)

Step 5 Listening and filling Get the students to listen to Danny’s bedroom and fill in the blanks. (Let’s Do It! No. 2 ) 1. The desk is ________ the bed. 2. The chair is ________ the desk. 3. The ball is ________ the chair. 4. The picture is ________ the bed. 5. The cat is sleeping ________ the door. Answers: 1. beside 2.in front of 3. under 4. above 5. behind Step 6 Reading and retelling 1. Get the students to read Danny’s bedroom first after the recording, and then on their own. 2. Get two or three of them to read. 3. Get the class to try to retell the passage according to the picture.
Step 7 Listening , reading and answering 1. First listen to Part 2 of the lesson and then read it. Answer the questions.(Let’s Do It! No. 3) 1. How old is Danny’s uncle? 2. How old is Danny? 3. How old is Jim? Answers: 1. He is thirty (years old). 2. He is thirteen (years old). 3. He is twelve (years old). 2. Work in pairs. Read the conversation and then act it out.
Step 8 Digging in Teacher says: Do you know how to say big numbers? Try. Step 9 Summary Sum up what we’ve learnt in this period with the class. 询问和回答方位的句型: —Where is /are…? —It’s / They’re +方位介词短语. 询问和回答年龄大小的句型: —How old is / are…? —I am/ He is/ She is…(years old). Step 10 Culture tip Tell the class that in Western countries, it is not polite to ask a person’s age. Tell the students to draw their own bedrooms. And write a short passage about it. Then present it to the class. (Let’s Do It! No. 5 ) Step 12 Language points 1. The desk is beside the bed. 书桌在床的旁边。 beside介词,意为“在……旁边”,指在空间上离得很近,与next to意思相近。 Mike is standing beside his mother. 迈克站在他的母亲身边。 There is a big park beside the bank. 在银行的旁边有一个大的公园。 2. The chair is in front of the desk. 椅子在书桌的前面。 in front of意为“在……的前面”。 Tony sits in front of me. 托尼坐在我的前面。 辨析:in front of与in the front of (1) in front of表示在某个范围外的前面。 There are some big trees in front of my house. 在我家房子前有几棵大树。 (2) in the front of 表示在某个范围内的前面。 The driver is sitting in the front of the car. 那位司机正坐在轿车的前面。 3. The picture is above the bed. 图画在床的上方。 above介词,意为“在……之上”,表示位置上高于……。 Our plane is above the clouds. 我们的飞机在云层的上方。 辨析:above, on与over 三个介词都表示“在……的上面”,但具体含义不同。
4. I’m thirteen years old. How about you? 我(今年)13岁了。你多大了? how about相当于what about,此处用来承上询问某一情况,相当于“How old are you?”。 I’d like to have a cup of tea. How about you? 我想要一杯茶,你要什么? [拓展] (1) 表示建议或请求,相当于Would you like (to)...?。 How about having some bread? 吃些面包怎么样? (2) 表示征求对方的意见或看法。 How about this car? 这辆小汽车怎么样? Step 13 Homework 1. Remember the new words learnt in this lesson. 2.
