设计说明

首先要求学生用英语简单地描述自己的校园，在此基础上运用校园的情境呈现

本课的新单词及词组。在学生对校园的人和物熟悉之后，来到Millie的学校，运用

Reading 教学的几个方法——看，听，读，说，让学生一步一步地了解课文，然后

就课文中出现的重要语言点进行讲解，形成学生的知识体系之后，再完成“写”这

个步骤，也为本单元的写作铺垫。

教学目标

通过本单元的教学，让学生达成以下目标：

1.知识目标

掌握词汇：so，show，around，show sb. around，front，in front of，building，ground，ground floor，bright，modern，hall。

2.能力目标

（1）用英语介绍校园内的各类设施。

（2）用适当的语言向他人介绍校园环境。

3.情感目标：

通过本课的学习，培养学生对学习的热爱。

Step 1  Warming up

Ask the students to say something about their school.

Is our school beautiful?

Do you like our school?

What do you like about our school?

Step 2  Presentation

1. Present some new words and phrases：show sb. around sp.，bright，ground/first floor， modern，hall，in front of，etc.

2. Let’s go to Millie’s school.

a) Before reading，finish Part B1 on page 33.

b) Play the tape and ask the students to answer these questions：

1 Where are Millie and her mother?

2 Who is Mr Wu?

Answers：

1 At the school gate.

2 Millie’s English teacher.

c) Play the tape and finish Part B2 on page 33 and tick all the places Millie and Mum talk about.

d) Read the text and finish Part B3 on page 34.

Step 4  Language points

1. She is ready to show her mother around.她准备领她的妈妈参观一下。

(1) be ready to do sth. 准备去做某事

(2)show 展示，引，带

show sb. around sp. 带领某人参观某地

show sb. sth. = show sth. to sb. 把某物出示给某人看

2. Your school looks beautiful.你的学校看起来很漂亮。

look +形容词  看上去……

3. We’re now in front of the classroom building.现在我们在教学楼前面。

in front of 在……(外部的)前面   

in the front of在……(内部的)前面

We’re in front of the classroom. 我们在教室前面。

There is a blackboard in the front of the classroom.

教室前部有一块黑板。

4. We also have an art room, a music room and two computer rooms.

我们还有一间美术室、一间音乐室和两间电脑室。

also与too都表示“也”。also用于句中；too常用于句尾。

I want to go there，too. = I also want to go there.
