    Unit 4  My day Comic strip Welcome to the unit

    设计说明

    首先通过老师和学生之间的自由交流,呈现本板块的新授短语,为讨论Millie的一天做准备。在呈现Millie的一天的过程中穿插时间的表达法,为学生在接下来的讨论和对话中排除表达障碍。然后由Millie 再谈自己的一天,这样在反复的讨论中让学生加深对短语的运用。接下来再呈现Millie的对话,进一步讨论她一天的学校生活中的片段,为Reading 的教学埋下伏笔。最后就是讨论Eddie的一天,这样不断地讨论让学生对自己的或者他人的一天积累了大量的知识,为进一步的教学做了很好的准备。

    教学目标

    通过本单元的教学,让学生达成以下目标:

    1.知识目标

    Step 1  Warming up

    Have a free talk

    What day is it today?

    What time do you usually get up?

    Who wakes you up every morning?

    Why do you get up early?

    Do you have many things to do at school?

    What do you usually do at school?

    Step 2  Presentation  

    1. Show students pictures about having lessonsdoing morning exerciseshaving lunch and doing after-school activities by asking What do they do at school?

    2. Present What time does Millie get up? to teach students how to express the time in English.

    时间整点的表达法: 整点钟+o’clock   seven o’clock

    时间未过30分的表达法:顺读:点钟+分钟 逆读:分钟+past+点钟

                             ten twenty-five   twenty-five past ten

    时间刚好是30分钟:顺读:点钟+thirty  逆读:half past+点钟

                            five thirty           half past five

    时间已过30分钟:顺读:点钟+分钟 逆读:(60-分钟)+to+(点钟+1)

                           six fifty-five     five to seven

    Step 3  Welcome to the unit

    1. Show students some pictures to present Millie’s day.

    She has breakfast at 7:00 a. m.

    She goes to school at 7:20 a. m.

    She does morning exercises at 8:00 a. m.

    She has lessons at 8:15 a. m.

    She eats lunch at 11:50 a. m.

    She has lessons at 1:30 p. m.

    She does after-school activities at 4:00 p. m.

    She goes home at 4:30 p. m.

    She has supper at 6:30 p. m.

    She watches TV at 7:00 p. m.

    She does her homework at 7:30 p. m.

    She goes to bed at 9:30 p. m.

    2. Talk about Millie’s day with your deskmate like this:

    A: What time does Millie get up?

    B: She gets up at 6:30.

    A: What does she do at 7:20 a. m.?

    B: She goes to school.

    3. Fill in the form about your day on page 43 and try to say something about your day.

    4. Listen to the dialogue between Millie and her aunt and answer the questions.

    1What time does Millie start lessons?

    2Is she sometimes late for school ?

    Answers

    1At a quarter past eight.

    2Noshe is never late for it.

    5. Talk about your school life with your classmate and make a new dialogue.

    1. Wake upEddie!醒醒,埃迪!

    wake up醒来,叫醒

    wake up Millie / wake Millie up 把米莉叫醒

    wake me up把我叫醒     wake up early醒得早

    Mum wakes me up early every day. 妈妈每天早早把我叫醒。

    2. Is it time for breakfast? 早餐时间到了吗?

    It’s time for ………的时间到了。  

    It’s time for class / school / bed / lunch. 上课/上学/睡觉/午饭时间到了。

    It’s time to do sth. 该干……

    It’s time to have lunch. = It’s time for lunch.该吃午饭了。

    It’s time to go to school. = It’s time for school. 该上学了。

    It’s time to have lessons. = It’s time for lessons. 该上课了。

    It’s time to have the meeting. = It’s time for the meeting. 该开会了。

    It’s time for sb. to do sth. 某人该干某事了 

    It’s time for us to have supper. 我们该吃晚饭了

    It’s time for them to have classes. 他们该上课了

    It’s time for you to clean the blackboard. 你该擦黑板了

    3. After lunchI always need a good rest. 午饭后,我总是需要好好休息。

    after breakfast/lunch / supper / class / school早饭后/午饭后/晚饭后/下课后 / 放学后

    They play football in the playground for an hour after school every day.

    他们每天放学后在操场上踢一小时足球。

    4. Some dogs just dont know how to have fun. 有些狗只是不知道怎样玩乐。

    1how to have fun是“疑问词+动词不定式”结构,此处作know的宾语。

    know how to be a good child知道如何做一个好孩子

    know how to play tennis知道如何打网球 

    He’s only five years oldbut he knows how to look after his sick mum.

    他只有5岁,但他知道如何照顾他生病的妈妈。

    2have fun = have a good time = enjoy oneself玩得开心

         have fun doing sth.做某事有乐趣

    I have fun playing with my parents. 我和父母一起玩得很开心。 

    5. Do morning exercises做早操

    exercise n. & vi. 锻炼

    We do morning exercises at 8:30 every day.

    我们每天八点半做早操 

    take / do some exercise做锻炼  

    It’s good to do some exercise every day. 每天锻炼有好处   

    6. Do after-school activities进行课外活动

    There are many activities in our school. 我们学校有很多活动。

    7. Do homework做家庭作业

    8. I’m never late for it. 我上学从不迟到。

    be late for 意为迟到

    He is often late for school. 他经常上学迟到。

    9. What time do you start lessons? 你什么时候开始上课?

    what timewhen的区别

    询问做某事的具体时刻(钟点)时两者可以互换。

    When/What time do you usually have breakfast?你通常什么时候吃早饭?

    I usually have breakfast at 6:40. 我通常在640吃早饭。

    询问钟表所表示的具体时刻,只能用what time

    Excuse mewhat time is it?打扰了,现在几点了?

    It is half past ten. 十点半。

    询问事件发生的年份、月份、日期等非钟点性时间只能用when

    When were you born? 你什么时候出生的?
