    Unit 5 Lets celebrate! Grammar

    设计说明

    首先复习万圣节的相关内容,同时呈现疑问词。接着就特殊疑问句以及相关疑问词进行一一讲解,在讲解的过程中配上相应的巩固练习,在不断的练习中让学生主动发现问题,帮助学生解决问题,最终能熟练掌握疑问词的用法。

    教学目标

    通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标:

    1.知识目标

    掌握词汇:dumpling, rice dumpling, grandparent, other, thing

    2.能力目标

    (1) 掌握八个疑问词

    (2) 学会用这些疑问词提问并回答

    3.情感目标

    让学生进一步了解世界各地的节日了解英语的语言文化风俗和习惯从而更好地学好英语

    Step 1 Warming up

    Revise something about Halloween.

    When is Halloween?

    In which country do people celebrate it?

    What do children do on that day?

    How do they feel?

    What do people do in the evening?

    Step 2 Presentation

    1. Present Wh- questions and Wh- question words one by one.

    一般来说,特殊疑问句=疑问词+一般疑问句

    陈述句→特殊疑问句1定:确定疑问词

                      2改:将剩余句子改成一般疑问句

    注意:下面两句的疑问词不同

    Who is that man? He is my English teacher.

    What is that man? He is a teacher in our school.

    when什么时候

    whentime

    如果问具体的时刻,还可用what time

    —When/What time do you go to school?

    —I go to school at 7: 00.

    —When do people celebrate Christmas?

    —People celebrate it on December 25.

    注意:when用作连词时,意为“当……时候,引导时间状语从句

    When the evening comes, we play games with the family.

    当夜晚来临时,我们和家人玩游戏。

    why为什么

    Why is he late? He is late because his bike is broken.

    注意:What…for?为什么……?”,一般对动词不定式充当的目的状语提问。

    2. Ask the students to read the questions and answers in pairs on page 61.

    1. Finish Part A on page 61.

    Present the family of how.

    1. how 怎样(对做事的方式或程度以及人或事物的状态提问)

    How is your father today?

    He is fine today.

    How do you usually go to school?

    I usually go to school by bike.

    How do you like your school?

    I like our school very much.

    2. how often 多久一次(对频率进行提问)

    How often do you write to your father?

    I write to my father once a month.

    How often does he go to the dancing lesson?

    —He goes to the dancing lesson every Thursday afternoon.

    3. how long 多长时间(对时间段提问);多长(对物体的长度提问)

    —How long do you sleep every night?

    —I sleep for about eight hours every night.

    —How long is the Changjiang River?

    —It is about 6300 kilometres long.

    4. how far 多远(对距离提问)

    —How far is your home from your school?

    —It is about three kilometers away from my home to my school.

    5. how soon多久以后(对“in时间段”提问)

    How soon will your mother come back?

    She will come back in two hours.

    6. how old 多大(对年龄进行提问)

    —How old is your brother? =What is your brother’s age?

    —He is 15 years old.

    7. how many 多少(对可数名词的数量进行提问)

    —How many students are there in your class?

    —There are 31 students in our class.

    —How many hours do you watch TV every day?

    Two hours every day.

    8. how much多少;多少钱(对不可数名词的量或者对物品的价格进行提问)

    —How much water do you want?

    —I want a glass of water.

    —How much is your new dress?

    —It’s 80 yuan.

    Step 5 Practice

    Have a try.

    1 He is twelve.(就画线部分提问)

    2 Jim plays with his dog for about two hours on Sunday.(就画线部分提问)

    3 Millie goes to the Reading Club twice a week.(就画线部分提问)

    4 There are twenty-seven teachers in our school.(就画线部分提问)

    5 There is some water in the glass.(就画线部分提问)

    Answers:

    2 How long does Jim play with his dog on Sunday?

    Step 6 Pair work

    1. Finish Part B on page 62.

    Millie is asking some more questions. Help her form the questions with the correct question words.

    2. Check the answers with the whole class.

    Answers:

    3. Ask the students to practice the sentences in pairs.

    Step 7 Role-play

    1. Finish Part C on page 62.

    Millie is asking Amy about her birthday. Complete their conversation with the correct question words.

    3. Ask the students to role-play the conversation in pairs.
