Module 3 Diet and healthUnit 9 International Food Festival (Stage 1)Reading: Different foods for the festival设计说明首先给出SPCA的相关图片并提出一些与之相关的问题,由此导入新课。接着让学生带着问题听本课对话,让学生能够抓住主要信息,完成表格填写,另外还能让学生掌握对话的标准发音,培养语感。然后让学生听并跟读,进行口语训练。通过小组活动和问答,帮助学生掌握本课重要句式用法。接下来,让学生给海报补充信息,让学生在实际操练过程中提升解决问题的能力。再让学生根据小组讨论的结果自己制作相关海报,提升语言实际运用能力,增强学习英语的兴趣。最后,通过知识点的讲解,让学生稳步掌握英语知识。通过当堂达标题来让学生查漏补缺。 教学目标通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标:1.知识目标掌握本课节新词汇:homeless;学会使用特殊疑问词what,句型Let’s do sth.,以及一般将来时。2.能力目标能够读懂有关制订计划的对话和文章,能谈如何制订计划。3.情感目标鼓励学生积极筹备,增强学生做事情的计划性。重点难点重点:掌握本课节新词汇homeless;学会使用特殊疑问词what, 句型Let’s do sth., 以及一般将来时。难点:能够读懂有关制订计划的对话,能谈如何制订计划。教学准备PPT课件;活动Read的录音。授课时数1课时教学过程Step 1 Warming up1. Ask the students the question: Do you know what is the SPCA?2. Show the picture of SPCA.3. Ask some questions and let them discuss.(1) What does SPCA mean?(2) What does the SPCA do?4. Check the answers with them.(1) It means the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.(2) It saves animals in Garden City. It also helps animals find new homes.5. Show a picture of a lovely dog. And ask the following question. Do the animals in the SPCA have homes?6. Introduce the new word homeless and the task—we need to raise some money for the SPCA. Step 2 Listen and read1. Play the recording of “Read” for the students to listen to and ask them to fill in the sentences about the International Food Festival.Why to have it?They want to (1) .What to do?They will sell (2) .When to have it?On (3) .Where to have it?In (4) .What time to start?At (5) in (6) .How to do it?They will make (7) .Who to ask for help?They will ask their (8) to help them.2.
