设计说明

首先复习本单元的相关节日，包括中国的春节。接着用熟悉的问题提问，逐一呈现本课的新单词和短语，从而过渡到唐人街的中国人如何度过春节。然后呈现本课的海报，并对其进行简单而重要的信息提问。在学生大致熟悉了课文内容后进行听力的训练，完成课本的内容。结合听力材料完成Wendy给Millie的明信片，分析明信片的结构，让学生对其中的重要信息进行复述，培养学生口头表达作文的语言能力。再对Speak up部分的内容进行提问，并仿照对话，让学生谈论在校的一项活动。利用Study skills部分的内容，进行音标的教学，逐一呈现八个双元音。最后用“挑战自我”这一教学活动检测学生的掌握情况。

教学目标

通过本课节的教学，让学生达成以下目标：

1.知识目标

掌握词汇：lion dance, firework, find out, more, radio, take photos, at night, seem, different, show, around。

2.能力目标

(1) 通过阅读和听力材料获取信息，并用所得信息将语篇补充完整；提高学生听、说、读、写的综合语言运用能力。
