设计说明 作为本单元的最后一个课时,学生已有较多的知识储备,可明确本课时任务。引导学生复习相关语句并考虑从哪些方面进行写作,帮助学生理清思路、拓展思维。从阅读文章、回答问题入手,引导学生总结出写文章的大体段落结构;再分段细读,帮助学生赏析例文的遣词造句和段落结构。最后通过修改例文,启发、鼓励学生完善自己的习作。 教学目标 通过本单元的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握词汇:square, smiling, handsome, fat, hard-working, patient, smile, unhappy, excellent。 2.能力目标 (1)通过学习范文,学会列写作提纲。 (2)运用本单元所学向别人介绍自己的好朋友。 3.情感目标 拓宽思路,勇于尝试,充分运用所学知识,不要拘泥于范文。 重点难点 重点:对描写人物特征的形容词进行归类 难点:写一篇介绍好友的文章 教学准备 PPT课件;相关图片;C部分的课文录音 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step1 Lead-in Ask the students to have a free talk about the importance of friends. Why does everyone need friends?
Friends are important to us! Step 2 Presentation 1.Ask the students to review words to describe people. 2.Ask the students to think what to write about their best friends to guess the structure of the article. Names Looks Structure Personalities Future plans ... 3.Ask the students to listen to Daniel’s article about his best friend Kate and try to catch the answers. (1)Who is his friend? (2)Is his friend tall or short? (3)What does his friend like to do? (4)What would his friend like to be? Answers: (1)His friend is Kate. (2)She is tall. (3)She likes to help people. (4)She would like to be a teacher. 4.Ask the students to read Paragraph 2 and find out Kate’s looks. What does Kate look like? Answers: 5.Ask the students to read Paragraph 3 and find out the words to describe her personalities. What is Kate like? Answers: 6.Ask the students to read each paragraph aloud and tell its main idea. Para. 1: Kate is both my neighbour and my best friend. I first met her five years ago. Para. 1 is about the person—his best friend. Para. 2: Kate is tall and slim. She has long hair. She has a round face and a small nose. I like her bright smiling eyes. They make her look really pretty and kind. Para. 2 is about her looks. Para. 3: Kate is a friendly girl. She always has a smile on her face and looks happy. She likes to help people. She helps me with my homework and she is very patient. When I feel bored or unhappy, I often go to her. She will talk to me and tell me interesting things. Para. 3 is about her personality. Para. 4: Kate wants to work with children. She would like to be a teacher when she grows up. I think she will make an excellent(杰出的)teacher. Para. 4 is about her future plan. 7.Lead the students to have a summary. Part 1: Para.1: Introduction—Name Part 2: Para.2-3:Main body—Looks and personalities Part 3: Para.4: Conclusion—Future plans Step 3 Writing Ask the students to practise writing an article. (1) Write a first draft: a beginning + a middle + an ending. Then show the model draft and analyze the structure of it. (2) Ask the students to work in pairs—one reads the writing out aloud and the other team member listens carefully and tells what he/she likes and asks questions. (3) Ask the students to make the sentences better. Two tips: use specific words and sentences of different lengths. (4)Invite the students to check the article for punctuation, capitalization, grammar errors and spellings. (5) Ask the students to show the final copy. Two tips: use your best handwriting; indent the first line of each paragraph. Step 4 Homework 1. Finish the related exercises. 2.
