设计说明 首先通过几张有关自然灾害的图片导入新课,然后学习一些有关北京暴风雪的词汇,继而了解北京暴风雪的详细情况,并分析文章结构,继而选择一种自然灾害,构思写作提纲,并由此展开写作。最后通过练习来巩固本课时的内容。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标: 掌握词汇:nearly, clear, behind, share... with..., keeping falling, nearly fall over, clear the snow, come from behind 2.能力目标: (1)学习在写作中陈述事实性信息。 (2)学会通过列要点来构思文章并尝试写一篇有关自然灾害的文章。 3.情感目标: 了解如何写作有关自然灾害的文章,培养学生应对自然灾害的技能和意识。 重点难点 重点:学习在写作中陈述事实性信息。 难点:学会通过列要点来构思文章并尝试写一篇有关自然灾害的文章。 教学准备 PPT课件;相关图片。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in Show some pictures about natural disasters like flood, rainstorm, sandstorm, thunder and lightning, earthquake, snowstorm. Step 2 Presentation 1. Show some pictures of the snowstorm in Beijing. 2. Teach some new words and phrases about the snowstorm. A snowstorm hit Beijing on Friday, 5 January. The snowstorm was terrible. The snow kept falling. I could only hear the wind blowing. Suddenly, a strong wind came from behind... I lost my umbrella in the wind and I nearly fell over. We had to walk slowly in the deep snow. I saw many people waiting at the bus stop. After the snowstorm, many people were trying to clear the snow from the street. 3. Try to remember the new words. Step 3 Practice 1. Part B. Complete the article on Page103 using the notes in part A. 2. Check the answers with students. (2) Where did it happen? (3) Where was Sandy during the snowstorm? (4) What did she do during the snowstorm? (5) What did she hear during the snowstorm? (6) What happened to her during the snowstorm? (7) What did she see during the snowstorm? (8) Where was she after the snowstorm? (9) What did she hear the next morning? (10) What did she see the next morning? Step 4 Language points 1. tell sb. (not) to do sth. 告诉某人(不要)做某事 Mr Wu told us to go home early. 吴老师告诉我们要早点儿回家。 2. share sth. with sb. 与某人分享某物 I share a bedroom with my sister. 我和妹妹共用一个卧室。 3. keep doing sth. 一直做某事 The snow kept falling. 雪一直在下。 4. hear... doing sth. 听到……在做某事 (1) He heard a child crying next door. 他听到隔壁一个孩子在哭。 (2) hear the noise of 听到……的声音 (3) I heard the noise of traffic last night. 昨晚我听到了交通的噪音。 5. get on / off 上/下车 She got on a bus quickly. 她快速上了一辆公共汽车。 6. fall over 摔倒,跌倒 I nearly fell over in the snow. 我差点儿在雪中摔倒。 7. clean the snow 清理雪 She cleaned the snow yesterday. 她昨天清理雪了。 Step 5 Analysis 1. 3. How to write sentences well? (1) You can use some adverbs like often, sometimes, usually, really, well etc. to make your writing vivid. (2) You can use some conjunctions(连词) to make your writing coherent. (3) You can use some transitions(过渡词) in your article. (First, Then, Next, Finally, When, While, As a result, In fact, For Example...) (4) You should use correct tense. In this article, we should use simple past tense and past continuous tense. (5) Try to make your sentences full and various. (6) Show some writing tips. Step 5 Writing 1. Show some useful expressions.
2. Give them three writing materials and ask them to choose one of the topics to write. Please make notes in groups. 3. Choose some students to share their articles and correct the mistakes in their articles. Step 6 Discussion Discuss in groups. Topic: What will you do when you meet a natural disaster? Give them two minutes to discuss and then choose some students to express their opinions and then the teacher give a summary. Step 7 Homework 1. Search for more information about natural disasters.
