设计说明 首先通过自由会话导入新课,然后呈现一些有关电视节目类别的单词,谈论这些节目的特点,学会用一些单词和短语来表示不同电视节目的特点,由此开展对话。通过Hobo和Eddie的对话,提出本单元所涉及的话题,让大家对本单元产生兴趣。最后通过练习来复习本课时的内容。 教学目标 通过本课时的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握单词和短语:done, comedy, documentary, real-life, dialogue, chat show, drama series, game show。 2.能力目标 (1)学会用英语描述不同的电视节目; (2)描述自己喜欢的电视节目,通过听说训练,激起学生对本单元的兴趣,培养学生的听说能力。 3.情感目标 通过学习,让学生知晓不同类别的电视节目,学会分辨适合自己的电视节目,健康快乐地成长。 重点难点 重点:掌握不同类型的电视节目的单词和短语,并能灵活使用。 难点:用英语描述不同类型的电视节目。 教学准备 PPT 课件;有关各种电视节目的图片;活动B录音。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in Free talk. Ask the students the following questions. And the students can answer them freely. What is your hobby? Do you like watching TV ? What kind of TV programme do you know ? Step 2 Presentation 1. Show them some pictures and present them different kinds of TV programmes, like news, cartoon, sport, cooking, film, drama, comedy and so on. 2. Talk about the features of different kinds of TV programmes. Comedy: They are very funny. They usually have happy endings. Documentary: You can learn about history, nature and real-life events from it. Game show: If you win, you will get a great prize. Chat show: There are always famous people talking about their lives. Drama series: They are often full of interesting stories. Step 3 Practice 1. A. Ask the students to write the correct names under the pictures. 2. Practice in pairs. A: What type of TV programmes do you like? B: I like… A: Why do you like it? B: Because… 3. Deal with B. (1) Show them the form. Ask them to listen to the tape twice and fill in the form.

(2) Practice the dialogue in pairs. Step 4 Comic Strip 1. Ask the students to watch the video about Hobo and Eddie. Answer the following questions. (1) Is Eddie getting bored with staying at home all day? (2) What does Eddie do every day? Answers: (1) No, he isn’t. (2) In the morning, he watches sports on TV. Then he has lunch. And then, he sleeps. After that, he has dinner. 2. Read the dialogue in pairs. 3. Act it out. 4. Fill in the blanks according to the dialogue. Hobo (1) ______ Eddie if he is getting (2) _____ with (3) ______ at home all day. Eddie thinks he is quite (4) ______. The boy doesn’t get bored with playing games at all. 那个男孩对打游戏一点儿也不感到无聊。 2. …I need a little sleep. ……我需要小睡一会儿。 (1) need 用作实义动词,常用于下列结构: need +名词或代词 需要…… need to do sth. 需要做某事 You need to go home before six. 你需要六点前回家。 need doing=need to be done 某事需要被做 The clothes need washing.=The clothes need to be washed. 这些衣服需要洗了。 (2) need 用作情态动词,用于否定句或疑问句,后跟动词原形。 He needn’t come here so early. 他没必要来那么早。 Need I bring the book here? 我需要把书带到这儿吗? Step 6 Homework 1. Revise the content learnt in this lesson. 2. Preview Reading and finish the exercises on Page 82 and Page 83. 当堂达标 根据汉语提示完成单词。 1.
