设计说明

本单元是复习单元，主要复习介绍动物的句式。由谈论动物的食物、生活地、喜好等入手，引入课堂；接着过渡到Language practice, 学习谓语动词是第三人称单数的一般现在时的肯定句、否定句、一般疑问句及其回答。并充分利用教材内容对其练习。让学生朗读教材上的Language practice中的句子，和学生一起总结介绍动物的句式。

教学目标

通过本单元的教学，让学生达成以下目标：

1. 知识目标

 (1) 复习巩固本模块所学的生词和短语；

 (2) 复习巩固介绍动物的句式。

2. 能力目标

 (1) 掌握谓语动词是第三人称单数的一般现在时的肯定句、否定句、一般疑问句及其回答；

 (2) 能运用给出的句型，做一张介绍动物的海报，描写自己最喜欢的动物。

3. 情感目标

在学习介绍动物的过程中，学会爱护动物。

难点：运用介绍动物的句式描写动物。

Step 1　Revision

1. Free talk：

T: We’ve learnt about animals. Talk with your partners.

1 Does the panda eat fish?

2 What do the bears eat?

3 Does the elephant eat plants?

4 What does the lion eat?

2. Introduce the animals in Unit 2：

T: In Unit 2 the tiger lives in Asia, and we talked about five animals. Try to introduce them by using the key expressions.

Ss: The elephant lives in/comes from … It eats… It likes…

3. Have a conversation like this:

A: What animals do you like?

B: I like…

A: What colour is it?

B: It is…

A: Does …come from…?

B: Yes, it does./No, it doesn’t. It comes from…

A: What does…eat?

Step 2　Presentation

1. Ask the students to read the sentences in Language practice.

It doesn’t eat meat.

The tiger lives in Asia.

Does it eat meat?

No, it doesn’t. It eats plants.

2. Help the students sum up the grammar.

Step 3　Grammar

谓语动词为第三人称单数的一般现在时:

1. 肯定句：主语+动词的第三人称单数形式…

He gets up very early. 他起床很早。(肯定句)

2. 否定句：主语+doesn’t +动词原形…

He doesn’t get up very early. 他起床不是很早。(否定句)

3. 一般疑问句：Does+主语+动词原形…?

肯定回答：Yes, 主语+does.

否定回答：No, 主语+ doesn’t.

Does he get up very early? 他起床很早吗？ (一般疑问句)

Yes, he does. 是的，很早

No, he doesn’t. 不，不早。

4. 特殊疑问句：疑问词+does+主语+动词原形+…?

Where does the animal come from? 这只动物来自哪里？

【注意】若疑问词就是主语，则疑问句结构为：

疑问词+动词的第三人称单数形式…?

Who likes meat? 谁喜欢肉？

1. Work in pairs. Look at the pictures. Ask and answer.

2. Ask the students to complete the word map with a partner.

1. Ask the students to look at the picture and discuss what they can see.

Camels

The camel lives in the deserts of Africa and Asia and eats grass. Some people think it carries water in the humps on its back, but it’s not true. In fact, it’s fat.

Kangaroo

The kangaroo is an Australian animal. It eats grass and leaves, but it doesn’t eat meat. It carries its babies in a pocket on the front of its body. With its strong tail and back legs, the kangaroo jumps across the grassland.

2. Read through the passage, and answer the following questions.

1. Work in groups.

Talk about your favourite animal. And then choose one animal to write about.

2. Find out about the animal.

3. Make a poster about your group’s animal.

Draw it or find a photo.

Write some information about it.

4. Present your poster to the class.
