设计说明

本单元主要复习英语中的现在进行时。通过观察句子结构，分析句子所表达的意思，复习现在进行时的基本知识。并通过选词填空、用所给词的适当形式填空等训练题，提高学生对语法知识的实际运用能力。通过设计收音机报道的活动，让学生学会借助现在进行时描述人们正在做的事情。

教学目标

通过本单元的教学，让学生达成以下目标:

1. 知识目标

(1) 复习本模块新单词、短语及句型；

(2) 复习现在进行时态。

2. 能力目标

(1) 能够运用现在进行时完成各种练习；

(2) 能正确使用现在进行时描述人们正在做的事情。

3. 情感目标

通过与同伴谈论自己或周围人们正在做的事情，共享学习策略; 了解不同地方的人们生活上的异同。

重点难点

重点：本模块的重点短语和句子。

难点：现在进行时态的用法。

Step 1　Language practice

1. I’m standing on the Great Wall of China and talking to you.

2. Tony is eating a delicious ice cream.

3. They’re working.

4. People aren’t having dinner.

(1) Read the sentences together.

(2) Tell the students to find out the structures of these sentences in groups.

小结：现在进行时句子结构为“主语+am/is/are+doing sth. ”，否定句是在be动词后加not。

Step 2  Grammar

现在进行时

1. 定义: 表示现在 (说话瞬间) 正在进行的动作。还可以表示当前一段时间内的活动或现阶段正在进行的动作。

My sister is watching TV now.

我姐姐现在正在看电视。

They are working on a farm these days.

这几天他们在农场上干活。

2. 谓语动词的构成: 助动词be + v. -ing。

动词-ing的变化规则：

3. 句型转换:

(1) 变为否定句时, 在be后加not。  

I’m writing an email to my mother.

我在给我的妈妈写邮件。

I’m not writing an email to my mother.

我没在给我的妈妈写邮件。

(2) 变为一般疑问句时, 把be动词提前到句首, 人称和be动词作相应变化。

I’m writing an email to my mother.

我在给我的妈妈写邮件。

Are you writing an email to your mother?

你在给的你妈妈写邮件吗？

2. Look at the picture. Say what they are doing.

Tony is calling a friend.

(1) Elicit some of the activities in the picture.

(2) In pairs they point to different people and ask what they are doing.

2. Complete the conversation between Tony and his dad with the correct form of the words in brackets.

Tony: Hi, Dad!

Step 4  Around the world

(1) Ask the students to read the passage and get them to know the meaning of it.

Time zones

In the US, from New York to Hawaii, there are several time zones. It’s midday in New York, and people are having lunch. It’s 9: 00 am in Los Angeles, and children are starting school. In Hawaii, it’s 7: 00 am and most people are getting up.

Step 5  Module task: Making a radio report

1. Work in groups of three or four. Plan a radio report.

Talk about news you would like to report.
