设计说明 首先通过向学生展示有关疾病的图片,让学生复习以前学过的短语和句型What’s wrong with…?。接着引导学生思考如果生病了该怎么办,从而引出本课节的话题。通过各种阅读任务的设置,如速读、细读等,培养学生在阅读中抓住关键信息的能力,让学生通过完成活动任务,掌握课文结构。利用Let’s do it!中的练习,进一步巩固本课节所学内容。通过语言点的讲解,帮助学生解决课文中的疑惑和重难点。最后,通过课堂达标训练,让学生自测对本课节掌握的情况,便于查漏补缺。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标: 1. 知识目标 掌握单词:sleepy, mention 接触单词:appendicitis, appendix 短语和句型:take out, now that, so that 2. 能力目标 能就如何保持身体健康给出建议。 3. 情感目标 认识到保持健康的必要性,养成健康的生活习惯,远离疾病。 重点难点 1. 重点:掌握本课节的单词、短语和句型。 2. 难点:能就如何保持身体健康给出建议。 教学准备 PPT 课件;本课节用到的录音;有关疾病的图片。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Warming up 1. Have a free talk like this: T: How do you feel today? Ss: … 2. Show some pictures to the students. Then ask like this: T: Look at the pictures. What’s wrong with them today?
T: When you are sick, what should you do? S: ... Step 2 Presentation Ask the students to discuss the THINK ABOUT IT questions in groups. Then have the groups share their answers with the class. Have you ever visited someone in the hospital? What do you want to do when you are sick? Step 3 Reading Task 1 1. Ask the students to read the lesson quickly and answer the questions. (1) What was wrong with Danny? (2) Is he feeling better now? 2. Students should check and correct their answers in groups. 3. Check their answers together. Answers: (1) He had appendicitis. (2) Yes. He is feeling much better now. Task 2 1. Ask the students to read the lesson again and answer the questions. (1) Why did Danny stay in the hospital? (2) What advice did the doctor give to Danny? (3) Is Wang Mei getting much better now? (4) What’s Li Ming’s advice for staying healthy? 2. Check the answers in groups. 3. Ask and answer in pairs. Answers: (1) Because he had appendicitis. Complete the information sheet.

I hope you didn’t mention my name to your brother. 我希望你没有向你哥哥提到我的名字。 【拓展】Don’t mention it! 不客气!/没关系! 6.
