Ask the students to retell Lesson 33 according to the pictures and the key words. Scene 1: On the Sea wearing a hat, lead a poor life, pulls out, opens it up, jumps out of, give you whatever you want, go back Scene 2: A poor house wife, grey hair, dirty clothing, sitting, a talking goldfish, wished for, asked for nothing, marry, a new house, angry, ask for 2. Ask the students to answer the questions. Which characters in the play do you like? Which do you dislike? What happened in the last lesson? Can you guess what will happen in this lesson? Step 2 New words 1. Show some pictures to teach the new words and a phrase.

Ask the students to think about the questions. (3) We should get happiness/a happy life by ourselves step by step. Step 4 Language points 1. Could you please make my wife a rich lady?请你让我的妻子成为一个富有的女士好吗? Could you please do sth.? 请你做某事好吗? 此句是请求别人帮忙时常说的话,也可以说“Can you do sth., please?”。只是用could比用can语气更委婉。 —Could you please pass me the ruler?请你把尺子递给我好吗? —No problem.没有问题。 2. The wife is wearing beautiful new clothes and sitting among servants and guards.妻子穿着漂亮的新衣服,坐在仆人和卫兵之间。 辨析:among与between (1) among 在三者或三者以上之间 The teacher sits among the students. 这位老师坐在学生之间。 (2) between 在两者之间 between…and… 在……和……之间 The teacher sits between Kate and Frank.这位老师坐在凯特和弗兰克之间。 3. It’s too much.这太过分了。 too much 太过分;太糟糕;太不像话 That is too much.那太过分了。 【拓展】①too much 太多 修饰不可数名词,还可修饰动词,作状语。 We have too much work to do.我们有太多工作要做。 Watching TV too much is bad for your eyes.看电视太多对你的眼睛有害。 ②too much在美国口语中还有“太棒了,太好了”的意思。 The actors in the play were just too much! 剧中的演员真是太棒了! 4.Go right now, or I will punish you!立刻去,否则我要惩罚你! “祈使句+and/or+简单句”结构,相当于“if…, …”结构。 Study hard, and you will pass the exam. =If you study hard, you will pass the exam. 努力学习,你会通过考试。 Study hard, or you will fail the exam. =If you don’t study hard, you will fail the exam. 努力学习,否则你会考试不及格。 Step 5 Summary Sum up what we’ve learnt in this period with the class. 1.
