Answers: (1)divided up (2)jumped into (3)focus on (4)went off (5)a couple of Step 4 Grammar 一、宾语补足语 定义: 宾语补足语是对宾语的状态、特征、动作进行说明的, 可由名词、分词、不定式、介词短语、形容词、副词来充当, 通常放在宾语的后面, 因此称之为宾语补足语。 1. 动词+宾语+名词 The class made me monitor. 同学们让我当班长。 2. 动词+宾语+形容词 We must keep our rooms clean. 我们必须保持我们的房间干净。 3. 动词+宾语+动词不定式 I asked Tom to clean the blackboard. 我叫汤姆擦黑板。 4. 动词+宾语+现在分词 Please don’t keep Daming waiting outside. 请别让大明一直在外面等着。 5. 动词+宾语+过去分词 He may have the machine repaired. 他可以让人修一下机器。 6. 动词+宾语+介词短语 You must keep your hands on that machine. 你必须把双手放在那台机器上。 二、被动语态 1. 英语中的两种语态 (1) 主动语态表示主语是动作的执行者。 (2) 被动语态表示主语是动作的承受者。 2. 被动语态的句型结构
3. 主动语态变被动语态的步骤 (1)把主动语态中的宾语变为被动语态中的主语。 (2) 找出主动语态中的谓语动词,先变为“be+过去分词”。 (3) 改变be的时态和结构,使之与被动语态的主语相适应。 (4) 原主动语态中的主语,放在by之后,还可以根据情况适当保留或省略。 4. 主动语态变被动语态的三个注意事项 (1) 双宾语都作主语: 当句子的谓语动词后跟双宾语时, 直接宾语和间接宾语都可作被动语态的主语, 直接宾语作主语时, 间接宾语前须加介词to(如动词give, pass, lend, show, send等)或for(如动词buy, make, draw等)。 (2) 莫忘记还原to: 在主动语态的句子中, 当宾语补足语为省略to的不定式时, 改为被动语态时必须还原to。常见的动词有see, hear, find, make, let 等。 (3) 介/副词跟上去: 主动语态的谓语是动词短语时, 在变为被动语态后不可以丢掉后面的介词或副词。 Step 5 Practice 1. Get the students to have a discussion to decide who should get the awards and give their reasons. 4. Let the host of the awards show announce the final results. 5. Let the students who get the awards give a short speech. Step 8 Reading 1.Get the students to read the passage and fill in the table. People Behind the Scenes Usually when a movie comes out, the actors get all the glory. But they are only a small part of the movie-making process. Thousands of people work behind the scenes to make a great movie. Without them, movies would not be possible. Director: Movie directors direct the movies. They are like the top managers in an office or a factory. The directors choose the actors and tell them how to perform their roles. They work with almost everyone in the movie, telling them what to do and how to do it. The directors are supposed to know everything that goes on in the movie, from music and costumes to lights and sound. Camera operator: Camera operators are experts at using movie cameras. They work long hours, making sure the pictures and actors look really good in every scene. Costume designer: Costume designers are responsible for designing or making costumes. Sometimes costume designers have to work late into the night so that actors can have their clothes ready for the next day of filming. Sound operator: Sound operators are in charge of production sound. They record the dialogue between the actors on the movie set. Later, in production, they add sound effects. They also mix music into the movie. They make sure every sound in the movie is produced clearly and fits in nicely. Set designer: A movie set is the place where all the action happens in a movie. Set designers work hard to build sets for the movie. Without them, movies would not look as real.
