设计说明 首先,谈论暑假活动,引导学生转入学习状态,通过谈论新学期第一天的相关事宜导入新课。接着,利用图片,通过介绍新学期第一天的新变化教授本课生词。然后,在此话题的基础上,利用听对话回答问题的方式导入对对话的学习,并通过读后回答问题、读后填空、阅读找重要的表达并翻译、跟读并介绍李明或丹尼八年级第一天的情况等活动逐步深入学习对话内容。最后,处理Let’s Do It?中剩余的练习题。整个教学采用任务型教学的方法,以多样化的阅读来帮助学生更好地学好本课节内容。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 掌握单词:physics 接触单词:Sandra, Cox, recent 短语和句型:One… and the other…, introduce…to… 2.能力目标 (1)能听懂有关谈论新学期的对话; (2)能用英语谈论开学第一天的有关事情。 3.情感目标 加强同学间的交流,增进友谊。 重点难点 1.重点:掌握本课节的重点单词、短语和句型。 2.难点:能用英语谈论开学第一天的有关事情。 教学准备 PPT 课件;本课对话及听力练习的音频;考克斯老师和桑德拉的人物图、物理课本封面、一张最近的照片。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Warming up Have a free talk between the teacher and the students. 1. Talk about the summer vacation.
How was your summer vacation? What did you do during your summer vacation? Did you go anywhere for your vacation? Where did you go? Who did you go with? What do you think of the place? 2. Talk about the first day of a new term. Are you happy to be back to school? How do you feel to see your classmates again? Is there anything new to tell us? Do you have new classmates? Do you have new teachers? What about your subjects? Step 2 Presentation Teach the new words Cox, Sandra, physics, recent. Show the students pictures to teach them by introducing the first day of the new term.

Her name is Sandra. I also have a new subject. It’s physics. We’ll look for a recent picture of ourselves to make a class picture. Step 3 Listening and answering Teacher says: Now, Li Ming and Danny are talking about their first day of Grade 8. Listen and answer the following questions. 1. How was Danny’s first day of Grade 8? 2. How is Grade 8 for Li Ming? Answers: 1. It was great. 2. It’s almost the same as Grade 7. Step 4 Reading 1. Get the students to read the dialogue and answer the following questions. (Let’s Do It! No. 1) (1)How many new classmates does Danny have? What are their names? (2) What advice does Li Ming give Danny on how to start a conversation with Sandra? (3)Li Ming has a new subject this year. What is it? (4)What will Li Ming do to prepare for his class tomorrow? Why? Answers: (1) Danny has two new classmates this term. One is Sandra and the other is Mary. (2) Danny can introduce himself to Sandra. He can also ask her questions. (3) It is physics./ Physics. (4) He will look for a good picture of himself. He will use it to make a class picture tomorrow. 2. Get the students to read the dialogue and fill in the blanks. It was the _________ day of Grade 8. Danny was _________ to see his classmates after such a long holiday. Sandra and Mary are his _________ classmates. And Ms. Cox is his new _________ teacher.
