    Lesson 27: Whats Your Advice?

    设计说明

    通过让学生给爱玩电脑游戏的汤姆提意见,引入提建议的话题。让学生想一想自己玩的游戏以及给朋友提过什么意见,为下文对话的学习做好铺垫。结合图片和例句,学习生词短语。为了巩固记忆,让学生默写出意思。通过阅读对话回答问题,检验学生对内容的理解情况。设置小组活动,让学生总结出玩“宝石建议”这个游戏的步骤,加深对内容的理解,也为后面的实践活动做准备。通过让学生亲自制作“宝石建议”,让他们感受游戏的乐趣,并能为他人提供有益的建议。让学生翻译课文中的一些短语和句子,巩固语言表达。接下来,完成Let’s Do It! 中的练习。最后,讲解本课的重难知识点,并进行当堂检测,查缺补漏。

    教学目标

    通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标:

    1.知识目标

    掌握单词:advice, spell, number, seventeen, eighteen, opposite

    接触单词:diamond

    短语:advice diamond       

    2.能力目标

    (1)能够读懂、听懂有关建议的对话;

    (2)能够为他人提供合适的建议。

    3.情感目标

    鼓励学生分析问题,解决问题,多为他人着想,多为他人排忧解难。

    Step 1  Free talk

    T: Tom likes to play computer games after school. He spends much time playing computer games. If you are his friend, what advice will you give him?

    1. Let the students talk freely in groups.

    2. Ask some groups to share their advice.

    Step 2  Thinking about it

    1. What games do you like to play?

    2. What advice have you given to your friends?

    Step 3  Presentation 

    1. Teach the new words and phrase advice, spell, number, seventeen, eighteen, opposite, diamond and advice diamond.

      

    There is something wrong with the girl. The doctor gives her some advice.

    seven num. 七 → seventeen num.十七

    eight num. 八 → eighteen num.十八

    advice diamond 宝石建议(一种游戏的名称)

    [Tip] The game advice diamond” has a Chinese name. It’s called “east-south-west-north”.

    2. Give them some time to remember these words and phrase. Let them write down their Chinese meanings.

    Step 4  Reading and answering

    Read the lesson and answer the questions.

    1. Read the lesson and answer the questions. Discuss in groups.

    (1)What’s the name of the game?

    (2) How do Danny and Jenny use the advice diamonds?

    (3) What colours does Dannys advice diamond have?

    (4) What number does Jenny choose first?

    (5) How many times does Jenny choose? What does the advice diamond say each time?

    2. Elicit answers by asking individual students to read the sentences out.

    Answers: (1) The advice diamond.

    (2) One chooses a colour and a number, and the other spells and counts.

    (3) It only has one colourgreen.

    (4) Fifty-one.

    (5) Three times. The first time: Fast is the opposite of slow. The second time: Wish you a wonderful time. The third time: Always be nice to your dinosaur friends.

    Step 5  Group work

    Read the dialogue again and know how they play with the advice diamond.

    2. Colour your advice diamond and then write some advice on it.

    Ask them to translate the following phrases.

    2. start doing sth.       开始做某事       

    3. make me tired      令我疲倦      

    4. wish you a wonderful future       祝愿你有一个美好的未来      

    5. be nice to     善待……       

    Step 8  Practice

    Fill in the blanks with the words in this lesson. The first letter is given.(Lets Do It! No. 2)

    Brainstorm some ideas for your advice diamond.

    Write as much advice as you can. Here are some examples:

     Always do your homework carefully.

     Go to bed and get up early.

     Be nice to your classmates and teachers.

     Help your parents with the housework.

    Let some groups share their advice in front of the class.

    Step 11  Language points

    1. Danny and Jenny have made advice diamonds. 丹尼和詹妮制作了宝石建议。

    advice是不可数名词,意为“建议;劝告”。常用短语:give sb. some advice=give some advice to sb. 给某人一些建议;take ones advice接受某人的建议。

    Can you give me some advice on road safety?

    你能给我一些有关道路安全的建议吗?

    You must follow your doctors advice.

    你必须遵从医嘱。

    【注意】“一条建议”用a piece of advice,“两条建议”用two pieces of advice,“许多建议”要用much advice

    2. One, twoseventeen, eighteenforty-five, forty-six12……1718……4546……

    seventeen是数词,意为“十七”。

    There are seventeen students in the room.房间里有17个学生。

    【拓展】基数词的构成:

    1112的基数词是独立的单词,有其各自的形式:one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve

    21319的基数词以-teen结尾,如:fourteen, seventeen等,但thirteen, fifteen, eighteen的拼写比较特别。

    32090十位的整数都以-ty结尾。如:sixty, ninety等。但twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, eighty的拼写较为特殊。

    3. Fast is the opposite of slow. “快”是“慢”的反义词。

    opposite是可数名词,意为“对立的人或物,对立面,反面”。

    What is the opposite of heavy? 的反义词是什么?

    Exactly the opposite is true.事实恰恰相反。

    【拓展】 (1)opposite还可作形容词,意为“相反的;相对的”。

    We live on the opposite side of the road. 我们住在马路对面。

    (2) opposite还可作介词,意为“在……的对面”。

    The bank is opposite the supermarket. 银行在超市的对面。
