设计说明 由谈论《爱丽丝漫游奇境记》对读者的吸引力引入新课的学习。对课文的教学采取由整体到细节的顺序,通过读课文对事件排序、读课文回答问题、读课文猜测故事后续情节发展训练学生的阅读理解能力。通过根据课文内容完成句子提升学生对课文细节的理解和把握。朗读短文,提升学生的口头表达能力;学习新的语言点,继续学习过去进行时态,促进学生在词汇和语法上的积累和巩固。进行有针对性的写作训练,提升学生的书面表达能力。 教学目标 通过本单元的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1. 知识目标 掌握本单元新单词及短语:twice, once or twice, suddenly, pink, pocket, field, think about, deep, while, land, dry。 2. 能力目标 (1)用正确的语音、语调朗读故事,把握故事的细节信息; (2)正确运用过去进行时态。 3. 情感目标 通过阅读原著来理解故事中的人物情感,感受不同语言之间传递信息和情感的异同,激发想象力。 重点难点 重点:本单元单词和短语;理解《爱丽丝漫游奇境记》节选部分内容。 难点:续写故事。 教学准备 PPT课件;活动2的录音 授课时数 2课时 教学过程 Step 1 Leading in Show a picture about the story Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. T: We have learnt about the story Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. What do you think of it? Ss: … T: Yes, it’s a fantastic story full of unexpected things. Think about what makes you interested in the story? Ss: … T: I think everyone is looking forward to reading the story. Now please follow me. Let’s go into the wonderland with Alice to meet the Queen of Hearts, the Cheshire Cat, the March Hare and some other interesting characters. Step 2 Warming up Look at the picture in Activity 2 and say what you think is strange.
Step 3 Reading Fast reading Read the start of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Answer the questions. 1 Where was Alice? 2 Who was she with? 3 What did she see? (1) Ask the students to read the passage and work in pairs to ask and answer the questions. (2) Encourage some pairs to share their conversation. Answers: 1 She was sitting by the river. 2 She was with her sister. 3 She saw a white rabbit with pink eyes run past. Careful reading 1. Read the story and number the events in the order they happened. a) Alice landed on some dry leaves. b) Alice was sitting by the river with her sister. c) Alice fell down a hole. d) A rabbit ran by. e) Alice ran across the field after the rabbit. (1) Ask the students to read the passage. (2) Ask them to read the events and number them in the order they happened. (3) Check the answers in groups. Answers: a) 5; b) 1; c) 4; d) 2; e) 3 2. Read the story. Guess what happens next. (1) Ask the students to read the story carefully. (2) Tell them to work in groups and imagine what will happen next. 3. Answer the questions. Use the words and expression in the box.

(1) Go through the words and expression in the box with the class and check if they understand them. (2) Ask the students to ask and answer the questions in pairs. (3) Check the answers. Answers: 1 No, she wasn’t. Because in the story Alice thought “…what is a book for without pictures or conversations?” 2 The rabbit’s eyes were pink. 3 It was in his pocket. 4 She ran across a field. 5 She fell down a very deep hole. 6 She landed on some dry leaves. Post-reading 1. Ask the students to read the phrases and try to translate them into Chinese.
2. Ask some students to read the phrases and then tell the students to write them down on their notebooks. 3. Complete the sentences according to the story.
(1) Ask the students to complete the sentences on their own. (2) Check the answers in pairs. Answers: sister, river; eyes; watch; strange; hole, leaves Step 4 Language points 1. She heard the rabbit say, “Oh dear! Oh dear! I’ll be late!” and she did not think it was strange. 她听到兔子说道:“天哪!天哪!我要迟到了!”她也没有感到奇怪。 辨析:hear sb. do sth. 与hear sb. doing sth.
I heard her play the piano in the room just now. 刚才我听到她在房间里弹钢琴了。 We heard them singing in the hall when we went by. 我们路过时听到他们正在大厅里演唱。 2. Then Alice went down after it, but never thought about how she was going to get out again. 随后,爱丽丝跟着兔子跳了下去,但从没想过她怎么才能从洞里再出来。 think about意为“考虑”,about是介词,后接名词、代词或动词-ing形式作宾语。 Are you thinking about going to Hainan on a holiday? 你在考虑去海南度假吗? [拓展] (1) think of表示“考虑;对……有某种看法”,此时可与think about互换使用。 What do you think of / about the photo? 你觉得这张照片怎么样? (2) think of意为“想起;记得”,不与think about互换使用。 I can’t think of her name. 我记不起她的名字了。 3. It was too dark for her to see anything. 太黑了,她什么也看不见。 too…to…意为“太……而不能……”。too是副词,后接形容词或副词,to是动词不定式符号,后接动词原形。 The box is too heavy for him to carry. 这个箱子太重,他提不动。 It’s never too late to learn. 活到老,学到老。 [拓展] too…to…结构通常可与so…that…句型转换。 She is too young to go to school. = She is so young that she can’t go to school. 她年龄太小,不能去上学。 4. While she was falling, she was thinking about her cat, Dinah. 当她往下坠落时,她在想她的猫,黛娜。 while连词,意为“当……的时候”。 (1)表示两个动作同时进行。 While my mother was cooking in the kitchen, my father was doing cleaning in the sitting room. 我母亲在厨房做饭时,我父亲在客厅打扫卫生。 (2)表示一个动作或状态进行时,另一个动作发生。 Sally called me while I was doing my homework. 我正在做作业时,萨莉给我打电话。 Please look after my pet dog while I am away. 我不在的时候请照顾我的宠物狗。 Step 5 Writing 1. Write what happened to Alice. Use the answers in Activity 5 to help you. (1) Tell the students to work in groups and discuss what will happen next. (2) Ask them to answer the three questions to get them started.
(3) Ask them to write a passage, beginning with After Alice found a small key on a table, she opened a small door… (4) Go around the class and give some advice to them. (5) Encourage some groups to share their ideas. One possible answer: After Alice found a small key on a table, she opened a small door with it and saw a beautiful garden. Next, she found a bottle with the words “DRINK ME” on it. Then, she drank from the bottle and became very small. Step 6 Homework 1. Read the passage. 2.
