At the age of 18, Lee became the youngest pianist (钢琴家) to win first prize (奖) in the International Chopin Piano Competition (国际肖邦钢琴比赛). For this, he became famous (著名的) as the “Chinese Chopin”.

School dances in American schools are very popular and exciting.
A more popular name for a school dance is a “sock hop”. At my school, dances usually take place in the school gym. The floor of the gym is made of wood. A wooden floor is easily broken by shoes. So at the school dance, students must remove their shoes and dance in only their socks. That’s why a dance is often called a “sock hop”.
High school students enjoy sock hop. Once a month the student council (委员会) will organize a sock hop. It starts after school at 3: 30 p. m. and lasts until 5: 00 p. m. Every new school term the student council will organize an evening sock hop. It starts at 7: 00 p. m. and ends at 10: 00 p. m.
During the sock hop the student council sells safe drinks, hot dogs and bread. The money got at the sock hop goes towards buying new school things.

One Saturday, Jay and his friends Mike and Tony were riding their dirty bikes on a cross-country path. They stopped to climb a tree and found a comfortable branch to sit on. At that time, Jay noticed something shiny on the ground.
They jumped down and went to take a closer look. It was a wallet with five hundred dollars inside. Mike immediately said, “Fantastic! We can divide the money into three parts, and we will each be closer to buying the newer bike we want.”
“Not so fast,” said Tony. “Jay was the one who found the first. He should get more than us.” “Are you crazy?” asked Jay, “We can’t keep the money. It isn’t ours.”

An old man, who works to build houses, was ready to retire. The employer(雇主) was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house.
The old man said yes, but in time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He turned to bad workmanship and used poor building materials. It was an unlucky way to end his working life. When the old man finished his work and the employer came to see the house, the employer handed the front door key to the old man. “This is your house, my gift to you.”
What a shock! What a shame! If the old man had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently. Now he had to live in the home he had built none too well.
So it is with us. We build our lives in a distracted(不专注的) way, willing to put up less than the best. At important points we do not give the job our best effort. Then with a shock we look at the situation we have created and find that we are now living in the house we have built. If we had realized that, we would have done it differently.
It is the only life you will ever have. Even if you live it for only one day more, that day deserves to be lived with dignity(尊严).
The sentence on the wall reads, “Life is a do-it-yourself project.” Who could say it more clearly? Your life today is the result of (1)________(n.) in the past. Your life tomorrow will be (2)________.
61.What did the old man’s employer ask him to do before he retired?
    ________________
62.The old man put all his heart in his last work, didn’t he?
    ________________
63.How did the old man feel when he realized that the last house he built was his home?
    ________________
64.Why does every day deserve to be lived with dignity?
    ________________
65.What can be filled (in the first line with at least a noun and the second line with proper meaning)for the last paragraph?
Your life today is the result of ________ (n.) in the past.
Your life tomorrow will be ________.

Besides, we can sing songs and dance to music. Some of my classmates will sell tickets and I will work at a food stand.
Come and join us! It’s fun. Looking forward to your reply.
