unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show?第一课时教学设计 一、教学内容分析 本节课的教学内容是人教版新目标八年级英语上unit 5Do you want to watch a game show?的第一课时1a-2c。本课位于人教版八年级上第5单元的第一部分,其主要内容就是学习关于电视节目的单词以及用----Do you want to watch a game show?-----Yes./No. ----what do you think of it? ---- I love/like/don’t mind/don’t like/can’t stand it...进行对话。通过这四个问题形成一片小短文。去讨论自己对某一种电视节目的看法。二、教学目标 (1)知识目标: 要求学生熟练掌握以下词汇 :talent show,sports show,talk show, game show, cartoon, sitcom ...;要求学生熟练掌握以下句型问句与答语:Do you plan to watch…? What do you think of the ...show? Why? How often do you watch it? 并由这几个问题发散写出有关电视节目的小短文。(2)能力目标:本课以听说读的方式进行输入,通过写小短文的形式进行输出。培养学生综合语言能力。 (3)情感目标: 通过英文对学生们日常电视节目的描述,让学生做到用英语有话可说,提升学生对英语的兴趣。(4)学习策略目标:第一节课,新词教授环节个别词汇带有音标,帮助学生拼读。由词到句,由句到对话,由对话到自行写出语篇。引导学生一步步由词到篇,进行高效学习。 三、教学重点、难点 ⑴学生能够根据图片学习词汇能理解、内化、并拓展相关词汇。⑵学生能用what do you think of it? ---- I love/like/don’t mind/don’t like/can’t stand it...句型的问与答是本节课的铺垫重点。短文生成是本节课的重点加难点。(3)通过本课学习,学生能熟练用英语谈论电视节目。 四、教法与学法 本课我利用多媒体辅助教学,立足于学生实际,创设生活化的真实情境,引导学生learning by doing, learning while doing, learning for doing;采用任务型教学,让学生学会合作,通过合作学习让不同层次的学生都有所得。同时学生学会观察、归纳,形成自主学习能力。 五、教学步骤 Step1 Warming up Watch a short movie about cartoon. Ask and answer:( Teacher asks students)What do you usually do on weekends?What’s your favorite TV show?Students give their answers. See some pictures together.( 设计意图:小卡通视频活跃了课堂气氛,使学生快速进入英语教学情境,给课堂带来轻松愉快的氛围。通过问答引出电视节目名称,为教授新词打下基础。) Step2 Teach the wordsShow some pictures and ask what kind of show it is.Write the shows’ names on the blackboard.Give the extra phrases to let students guess.Read after teacher and students read together. Feedback, and check the pronunciation of the words(ask single student to read)(设计意图 :以图片方式教授新词,激发学生兴趣。在教授新词的基础上,适当补充例如晚间新闻,天气预报这样的词汇,增加学生词汇,为后面学生谈论电视节目作文提供语言材料。) Step3 Game timeTeacher says we can play games in the game show, right?It’s time for game. The faster, the better.Teacher explains the rules of the game.Teacher shows the pictures and students say the TV show’s names.The faster they stand with the correct answer will plus the points in their group.Show pictures and plus the points on the blackboard.(设计意图 :以快速起立,小组间竞争的方式进行词汇巩固。) Step 4 Teach the sentencesTeacher shows some pictures and ask what kind of TV shows they are.What do you think of the … show? What’s meaning of think of? Teacher explains it.Show pictures and give the form using love, like, don’t mind, don’t like, can’t stand.Using the faces to help students understand those 5 words.Add the question why and give the sample answers.Because it is interesting, meaningless…(设计意图:在词汇的基础上,教授重点句型What do you think of the … show? 以及它的可能性的答语。加入问题Why?为后面学生作文提供句法材料。)Step 5 Practice(pair work)Teacher gives an example with a student using the 2 questions:What do you think of …Why?3 minutes for them to practice and T walk around the classroom. And ask some pairs to show their conversations.(设计意图:让学生以pair work形式巩固操练目标语言。) Step 6 Teach more sentencesTeacher says that “For me, I love to watch games shows, so I plan to watch it, tonight. Plan to… Can u guess the meaning of plan to?计划,打算做某事Can you think about the use like plan of other words. Such as want/ expect/…Ask students to say the whole sentences using the phases.What do you plan to watch? Do u plan to watch … tonight? When we use do to ask, we should answer Yes, I do/No, I don’t.”Ask and answer:Do you plan to watch…? What do you think of the talent show?Why?How often do you watch the…?Teacher gives an example.(设计意图:补充问题,答语能够形成一篇文章的主体。 为学生作文构建框架。)Step 7 Practice (Group work)(1) Make conversations with the 4 questions.4minutes for them to practice and T walk around the classroom. And ask some pairs to show their conversations.(2)writing task Write a short article about Ss’ favorite TV show. The article should including Name, Think of, Why and How often. Give the possible beginning sentence. My favorite TV program is________.Ask 2/3 students to show their articles. (设计意图:根据作文构建框架,让学生自性完成作文。知识输出。) Step 8 SummaryTo review the words and the sentences’ forms by doing the exercise. (设计意图:使学生通过小结对本课所学习的目标语言进行巩固与强化,达到熟练使用,为下一步的学习打下基础。) Step 9 Homework (1)Recite the words.(2)Finish the article My favorite TV program and check in groups.(设计意图:检查学生的学习习惯,培养学生运用所学知识解决问题的能力;也检验教学的效果。) Step 10 Blackboard designUnit 5 Do you want to watch a game show?
