教材分析

本单元学习的重点语法结构是动词不定式作主语。作主语的动词不定式在句子中的位置有两种：第一种是动词不定式置于句首；第二种是用it作形式主语，放在句首，把真正的主语——动词不定式置于句后。疑问词和动词不定式构成的不定式短语，也可以作主语。同时区分动词的-ing形式作主语和动词不定式作主语。该板块通过讲解、练习让学生感知动词不定式作主语的结构，掌握动词不定式作主语的用法。

教学目标 

在本课学习结束时，学生能够：

1. 在具体语境中观察、发现动词不定式作主语的功能和规律，总结该结构的特征；
2. 能够区分动词的-ing形式作主语和动词不定式作主语的区别。

教学重难点

教学过程

Step 1 Revision

T asks Ss to review how the “habit cycle” works.

设计意图：通过回顾habit cycle的运作原理，帮助学生深化对本单元话题的理解。

Step 2 Observing and Exploring

T asks Ss to explore the functions of the infinitives in these sentences.

设计意图：引导学生观察动词不定式作主语的两种结构特点, 初步感知动词不定式作主语的结构。

Step 3 Working out

1. T explains rules of the infinitive as the subject.

2. Explain the difference between the infinitive as the subject and the gerund as the subject through examples.

设计意图：系统梳理动词不定式作主语的语法规则，并且比较动词的-ing形式作主语和动词不定式作主语，引导学生掌握不定式作主语的用法。

Step 4 Applying

1. T asks Ss to transform the sentence pattern.

2. T asks Ss to join the words to make full sentences, and then join the sentences to make a paragraph.

3. T asks Ss to complete the conversations with the correct forms of phrases in the box.

4. T asks Ss to choose the best answers.

设计意图：通过完成多任务型的练习，帮助学生熟练掌握动词不定式的句型转化，在具体语境中运用动词不定式作主语的用法，巩固动词的-ing形式作主语和动词不定式作主语的区别。

Read the post about asking for help and reply it with the infinitive as the subject.
