    IV核心单词知用法[注意固定短语、句型和词块]

    Section A

    1. What are you doing? 你在干什么

    I’m watching TV.我正在看电视。(P. 31)

    现在进行时的特殊疑问句结构:疑问词+am/is/are+主语+doing+其他?

    回答:主语+ am/is/are + V.ing+其他.

    例如:①—What is your sister doing now?

    She is playing computer games.

    ②—What are they doing?

    They are talking about the news.

    2. using the computer 使用电脑(P. 31)

    use作及物动词,意为“使用”,常用结构有:“use sth.使用某物;use sth. to do sth. =use sth. for doing sth. = do sth. with sth.使用某物做某事”。Use相关派生词有:第三人称单数形式为uses现在分词using;形容词为useful“有用的”和useless“无用的”

    例如:The man is using the computer.

    This is a useful/useless book

    The man is using the computer to read the news.

    = The man is using the computer for reading the news.

    = The man is reading the news with the computer..

    Dont use my cup to drink tea.

    =Don’t use my cup for drinking tea.

    =Don’t drink tea with my cup.

    3. washing the dishes 洗碗(P. 31)

    wash作及物动词,意为“”,常用短语“wash the dishes= do the dishes 清洗餐具;wash the/ones clothes= do some washing 清洗衣服”。注意washclean的区别,动词clean意为“打扫”

    例如:He usually washes/does the dishes after dinner.

    I like cooking, but he likes washing/doing the dishes.

    Its 5:00 p.m. Her mother is washing the clothes/doing the washing.

    Although the child is young, he can wash his clothes.

    We have to clean the house/room every day.

    The students is cleaning the classroom now.

    4. Do you want to join me for dinner? 你想和我一起吃晚饭吗? (P. 32)

    join作及物动词,意为“参加;成为……的一员”。句中短语:“join sb. for sth.与某人一起干某事/加入到某人的行列一起干某事

    如:Would you come and join us for party?

    I’d like to join the club for English learning?

    5. I’d love to. 我愿意(P. 32)

    Id love to.该句子为交际用语,用于礼貌地接受他人邀请,相当于“Id like to.当委婉拒绝他人邀请时,多用Id love to, but/ Sorry, I cant. Because”。是对对方询问意见礼貌接受的回答,也可以说Id like to但是语气比前者稍弱。

    例如:①—Would you come and join us for party?

    I’d like to.

    ②—Would you like to go shopping with us?

    I’d love to, but I have to take care of my sister.

    ③—Could you please tell me where is the bookstore?

    Sorry, I can’t. Because I am a freshman.

    6. Mary’s parents drink tea after dinner. 玛丽的父母晚餐后喝茶。(P. 33)

    drink及物动词,意为“”,后面可直接跟宾语;作不可数名词,意为“饮料”;作可数名词,意为“一杯饮料的种类或份数

    例如:Its good for us to drink milk every day.

    I want some drink for dinner.

    Coke is an unhealthy drink.

    Lets have a drink.

    7. Do you want to go tomorrow then? 那你明天想去吗?(P. 33)

    tomorrow副词,意为“在明天”,前不用介词类似:today, tomorrow morning/eveningtomorrow还可作名词,在句子中作主语,表语,宾语等

    例如:Are you free tomorrow evening?

    There will be an English test tomorrow morning.

    Tomorrow never comes!

    1. shopping 购物(P. 34)

    shop可数名词,意为“商店”,相当于storeshop还可作不及物动词,意为“购物”,相当于“do some shopping”;也常与go连用,构成短语“go shopping去购物”。

    例如:There are different kinds of good in the shop.

    My mom bought some fruit in a fruit shop yesterday.

    There are many clothes shops/stores in the city.

    His mother works in a fruit shop.

    How about going shopping this weekend?

    My sister is shopping in the supermarket now. =My sister is doing some shopping in the supermarket now.

    2. He’s now studying in the United States. 他现在正在没过学习。(P. 35)

    study可数名词,意为“书房;研究”;作实义动词,意为“学习;研究”。

    例如:I am practicing my writing in the study.

    According to the study, more and more people would like to go back to the countryside.

    Tom studies math very well.

    We likes studying English very much.

    My brother is studying for an English test in his room.

    【拓展】learn的区别:learn多用于初学阶段,强调从不会到会study侧重深入学习和研究

    1独立使用,不接宾语时只能用study.

    2)“学习做某事”只能用learn to do sth.  不能说study to do sth.

    例如:She is studying in Ba Chuan Middle School now and she studies well.

    Look! He is studying in his room.

    She wants to learn to make soup.

    3. He’s living with an American family in New York. 他和纽约的一个美国家庭住在一起。(P. 35)

    American形容词,意为“美国的,美洲”;作可数名词,意为“美国人”,其复数形式为“Americans”。America名词,意为“美国= the US= the USA

    例如:I live with an American family.

    Jack is an American boy.

    The professor is talking with some Americans.

    This boy comes from America/the US/the USA.

    4. His dad and uncle are watching the boat races on TV. 他的爸爸和叔叔正在看电视上的赛艇比赛。(P. 35)

    race用于体育话题时,主要指赛车、赛跑、游泳等于与速度相关的比赛,而game多指球类、棋类相关的比赛。

    Tom likes to watch NBA game on TV

    I often play computer games on weekends.

    He is the youngest swimmer in the race.

    Finally, we get the first prize in the running race.

    5. But there isn’t a Dragon Boat Festival in the US, so it’s like any other night for Zhu Hui and his host family. 但是美国没有端午节,所以对朱辉和他的寄宿家庭来说,这和其他任何一个晚上都一样。(P. 35)

    (1) any作形容词,意为“任何的,任一的”。形容词some在否定句和一般疑问句变成any

    例如:肯定句—I have some interesting books.

    变否定句I don’t have any interesting books.

    变一般疑问句Do you have any interesting books?

    (2) other形容词,意为“另外的,其他的”,后跟名词或代词;作代词,意为“另外的人(或物)”,其复数形式为others,相当于other+名词复数

    例如:You can’t ask other students for help.

    My other sister is a doctor.

    Some people come from Chengdu, others(=other people) come from Beijing.

    (3) any other night意为“任何一个其他的夜晚”。结构“any other+名词单数:其他任何一个…”。

    例如:What other things can you see in the picture?

    Do you have any other questions?

    Any other student in the class can play with you.

    You are better than any other one.

    6. Zhu Hui misses his family and wishes to have his mom’s delicious zongzi. 朱辉很想念他的家人,希望能吃到妈妈做的美味粽子。(P. 35)

    (1) miss作动词,意为“思念;想念错过,常用结构“miss doing sth. 错过做某事”。

    例如:Mike misses his parents very much.

    My brother always gets up early, so he never miss the early bus to school.

    He often gets up late and misses exercising in the morning.

    (2) wish作可数名词,意为“祝愿”;亦可作动词,意为“希望,祝愿”。作动词时可用搭配“wish sb. sth.祝愿某人怎样;wish to do sth.希望做某事;wish sb. to do sth.希望某人做某事”。

    例如:Best wishes to you.

    I wish you a happy life.

    b. I wish you good luck.

    He wishes to learn math well.

    I don’t wish to leave home now.

    Mr. Li wishes us to study well.

    All the parents wish their children to keep healthy.

    【拓展】hope作名词或动词,意为“希望”。作动词的用法注意和wish的区分“hope to do sth.希望做某事”,但是不能用“hope sb. to do sth.”。

    例如:We all hope to arrive home soon.

    7. Here is a picture of my family. 这是我的全家福。(P. 36)

    (1)此句为倒装句,正常结构为“A picture of my family is here.在以here, there, now这些副词放在句首所引起的句子,动词往往是be, come, go时,通常用倒装句以引起听话人的注意

    如:Here comes the bus.

    There goes the bell.

    【拓展】学过的倒装句:there be句型;疑问句;感叹句。

    例如:There is a pen on the floor.

    There is a river in front of the school.

    What do you do?

    Is he doing his homework?

    What a lovely girl she is!

    How foolish you are!

    (2)family作可数名词,意为“家庭强调“整体”时,是单数含义,作主语时谓语动词用单数;强调“成员”时,是复数含义,作主语时谓语动词用复数

    例如:My family is so big.

    Its eight at night. His family are watching TV.

    My family aren’t at home now.

    二、语法知识清单

    现在进行时

    1. 定义

    现在进行时态表示现在说话瞬间正在进行或发生的动作还可以表示当前一段时间内的活动或现阶段正在进行的动作。

    例如:The students are listening to the teacher.

    He is watching TV now.

    We are working on a farm these days .

    I am writing a book this month.

    2. 结构

    肯定句:主语+am/is/are+现在分词+其他.

    否定句:主语+am not/is not/are not/isn’t/aren’t+现在分词+其他.

    一般疑问句:Am/Is/Are+主语+现在分词+其他?

    肯定回答:Yes, 主语+ am/is/ are.

    否定回答No, 主语+ am not/isn’t/ aren’t.

    特殊疑问句:特殊疑问词+ am/is/are+主语+现在分词+其他?

    例如:肯定式:I am singing.

    She is dancing.

    He is listening.

    They are watching TV.

    否定式:I am not singing.

    She is not dancing.

    He is not listening.

    They are not watching TV.

    一般疑问句及回答:—Are you singing?    Yes, I am./No, I’m not.

    Is she dancing?                 Yes, she is./No, she isn’t.

    Is he listening?                 Yes, he is./No, he isn’t.

    Are they watching TV?          Yes, they are./No, they aren’t.

    特殊疑问句What are you doing?

    What is he/she doing?

    What are they doing?

    3. 现在分词v-ing的构成:

    一般情况直接在动词原形后+ing

    go

    ask

    going

    asking

    以不发音字母e结尾的单词,去e,+ing

    write

    take

    close

    writing

    以重读闭音节结尾的单词,末尾只有一个辅音字母时,双写末尾字母+ing

    【注意】以”ie”结尾,要变“ie”为“y,再加-ing.如:diedying(死)lielying(平躺)

    4. 常与现在进行时态连用的词now现在,listen听,look等。

    例如:What are you doing now?

    Im reading now.

    Listen! She is singing.

    电话用语

    1)接听电话:

    我是……This is(speaking). / Itshere.

    你是谁?Whos that?

    2)打电话:

    你是…吗?Is that(speaking)?/ May I speak to sb.?

    三、语篇知识清单

    本单元主要描述了正在进行的事情,让同学们学会描述正在做的事情。运用本单元所学习的现在进行时,不仅要描述自己此时此刻正在做的事情,而且还要正确描述他人正在做的事情。此类作文比较简单,同学们只要掌握了课本上的相关句型,写这类作文就比较容易了。
