一、连词
表示连词是连结单词、短语、从句或句子的虚词， 在句子中不单独作句子成份。根据连词在句子中所起的作用，连词分为并列连词和从属连词
（一）并列连词
并列连词所连接的两个或多个词，短语或句子都是对等并列关系，它主要用来表示并列关系、转折关系、选择关系和因果关系。
I.表示并列关系的连词：
and， as well as(而且，还，又)， neither…nr…(既不…. 也不….)
bth…and …(……和……都)， nt nly…but als …(不仅……而且……)，
and： “和”表并列或顺承, 连接两个词做主语时，谓语动词用复数。
bth…and …：两者都……，连接两个成分作主语时，谓语动词要用复数形式。
as well as：连接并列主语时，谓语动词应与as well as前面的主语保持一致。
nt nly…but als…/ neither…nr…：
连接两个成分作主语时，其谓语动词通常与靠近的主语保持一致，即“就近原则”。

II.表示选择关系的连词：
r(或；或者；否则)， either…r…(或者……或者……；不是……就是……)
r：“或者; 否则”表选择，
either…r…：它们连接两个成分作主语时，也遵循“就近原则”。

III.表示转折关系的连词：but(但；但是；可是)，while(然而)，yet，hwever
while: 而，然而，表对比。

IV．表示因果关系的连词：s(所以), fr(“因为”，置于句中, 只能接句子)/ because

【温馨提示】
1.两对“冤家对头”不能同时出现在一个句子中: althugh/ thugh与but；because与s。
2.and和r的区分
(1)and用于肯定句中，r用于否定句或选择疑问句中。例如：
①I like bread and milk fr breakfast. 我早餐喜欢吃面包，喝牛奶。
②I dn’t like bread r milk fr breakfast. 我早餐不喜欢吃面包，喝牛奶。
(2)否定句中两部分都有否定词时用and连接。例如：
①Bill has n brthers and n sisters. ===Bill has n brthers r sisters.
【基础训练】

(二）从属连词
I. 引导宾语从句的从属连词
(1)that引导陈述句作宾语从句, that无实际意义，可省略。
I knw that the puppy is very clever.
(2)if/whether引导一般疑问句作宾语从句, 从句要用陈述语序。
We dn’t knw if/whether it will rain tmrrw.
(3)wh－疑问词引导特殊疑问句作宾语从句, 从句要用陈述语序。
He didn’t tell me when we shuld meet again.
