Hwever, if yu find yu're cnsuming s much sprts cntent that yur wrk is suffering, r it's impacting yur interpersnal relatinships, then it can be a sign yu shuld tne it dwn, he adds.

Mandara seemed t knw smething big was abut t happen. S she let ut a yell, caught hld f her 2-year-ld daughter Kibibi and climbed up int a tree. She lives at the Natinal Z in Washingtn DC.
And n Tuesday, August 23rd, witnesses said she seemed t sense the big earthquake that shk much f the East Cast befre any human knew what was ging n. And she was nt the nly ne. In the mment befre the quake, an rangutan(猩猩) let ut a lud call and then climbed t the tp f her shelter. "It's very different frm their nrmal call," said Brandie Smith, the zkeeper. "The lemurs (mnkey-like animals f Madagascar) will sund an alarm if they see r hear smething highly unusual."
But yu can't see r hear an earthquake 15 minutes befre it happens, can yu? Maybe yu can—if yu're an animal. "Animals can hear abve and belw ur range f hearing," said Brandie Smith. "That's part f their special abilities. They're mre sensitive t the envirnment, which is hw they survive."
Primates weren't the nly animals that seemed t sense the quake befre it happened. One f the elephants made a warning sund and a huge lizard(蜥蜴) ran quickly fr cver. The flaminges (a kind f birds) gathered befre the quake and stayed tgether until the shaking stpped.
S what kind f vibratins(震动) were the animals picking up in the mments befre the quake? Scientist Susan Hugh said earthquakes prduce tw types f waves—a weak "P" wave and then a much strng "S" wave. The "P" stands fr "primary". And the "S" stands fr "secndary". She thinks the "P" wave might be what sets the animal ff.
Nt all the animals behaved unusually befre the quake. Fr example, the giant pandas didn't jump up until the shaking actually began. But many f the ther animals seemed t knw smething was cming befre it happened. "I'm nt surprised at all," Smith said.

Everyne has a stry t share abut hw stress affects their bdy, particularly in their skin and hair—the nly tissues we can see frm the utside. Recently, a team frm Harvard University prvides scientific evidence t supprt the idea that stress can cause a persns hair t turn gray in a study published in the jurnal Nature. Ya-Chieh Hsu, a prfessr in this team said in a statement that the study was the first t prve the cmmn belief that stress can cause gray hair.
Mst peple have abut 100,000 hair fllicles(毛囊) n their head. The fllicles are respnsible fr making melancytes(黑素细胞), the cells that give hair its clr. As peple age, melancyte prductin is reduced. This causes a persns hair t begin turning gray naturally.
The team used experiments with mice t lk at hw stress affects stem cells in hair fllicles. At first, the researchers suspected that an immune attack caused by a stressful event might be targeting the melancyte stem cells. That thery, hwever, turned ut t be false. The team als thught the hrmne crtisl (皮质醇), which always increases in the bdy during times f stress, might be a likely cause. Hwever, when researchers remved the glands(腺体) that prduce the crtisl hrmnes, the hair f mice still turned gray.
The scientists then fcused their experiments n the bdy's sympathetic nervus system—a system that is made up f a cllectin f nerves that extend thrugh the bdy and cntrls "fight-r-flight" reactins in dangerus situatins. When the mice suffered shrt-term pain r were placed in stressful labratry cnditins, these nerves released a chemical called nr-epinephrine (去甲肾上腺素). When the nr-epinephrine was released, all the melancyte stem cells in the hair fllicles were highly activated and changed int cells prducing pigment (色素). This verprductin prcess resulted in the early lss f clr-prducing cells.
Ya-Chieh Hsu said that the results shwed the harmful effects are mre majr than what the researchers had imagined. “After just a few days, all f the pigment-reprducing stem cells were lst. Once they’re gne, yu can’t reprduce pigments anymre. The damage is frever.”
    12. What happened t the mice in a stressful envirnment?
    A. An immune attack destryed their melancyte stem cells.
    B. The hrmne crtisl level drpped in their bdy.
    C. Their melancyte stem cells becme less active.
    D. Mre clr-prducing cells were lst.
    13. What is the main idea f paragraph 4?
    A. The functins f the sympathetic nervus system.
    B. The prcess f hairs turning gray.
    C. The harmful effects f stress.
    D. The imprtance f nr-epinephrine.
    14. Which wrd best describes the authrs attitude t the study?
    A. DubtfulB. ObjectiveC. NegativeD. Subjective
    15. What can we learn frm the study?
    A. It is natural fr nes hair t turn gray with aging.
    B. The effects f stress are as great as researchers expected.
    C. Mice are likely t becme mre active when under stress.
    D. It is the first t lk int the cnnectin between stress and gray hair.
