Twelve-year-old Zhou Xinyue planned the May Day holiday trip for her family. Instead of going to the beach, she chose four revolutionary sites(革命遗址) in South China’s Guangdong province.
“I have heard my classmates talking about the East River Column, but I don’t know much about its history, so I wanted to visit the memorial(纪念馆) to learn about it. My parents and elder brother were happy to join me,” she said.

In the United States and Canada, there are over 6,000 museums, almost twice as many as there were 25 years ago. However, they have changed a lot. They are no longer places where one “should” go—they are places to enjoy.
At a science museum in Canada, you can feel your hair stand on end as harmless electricity passes through your body. At the Children′s Museum in New York, you can play an African drum. There are no “Do Not Touch” signs in some other museums in the USA.
More and more museum directors(馆长) have realized that people learn best when they can become part of what they are seeing. In many science museums, the visitors are encouraged to touch, listen, and experiment so as to find scientific rules for themselves.
The old museums have been changing and the government is encouraging the building of new, modern museums. One cause of all these changes is the growing number of young people in the population. They see things in a new and different way. They want art that they can take part in. The same is true of science and history.
38.There were about ________ museums in America and Canada 25 years ago.
    A.3,000 B.4,000 C.5,000 D.6,000

D.The museums have been changing because old people want them to change.
41.The best title for the passage is .
    A.Science Museums B.Old Museums C.Children′s Museums D.Modern Museums
Have you ever seen a solar panel (太阳能电池板)in your neighborhood? Solar panels take energy from the sun and turn it into electricity. Over the past ten years, the price of solar panels has gone down greatly. In many parts of the world, solar energy is now the cheapest form of electricity. More and more people have started using solar energy to power(给……供电)their homes.
However, solar panels also have their problems. They stop working at night and on rainy days. Is it possible to make them produce(生产)electricity all of the time?
Scientists at Suzhou University, China, have invented a new solar panel now. It can produce electricity not only from solar energy but also from falling rain. When a raindrop falls on the solar panel and then rolls(滚动)down, it creates friction (摩擦力)on the surface of the panel, which can then be turned into electricity.
Sun Baoquan is one of the inventors. “Our new invention can produce electricity in any weather during the day,” he says. “It can even produce electricity at night if there is rain.”
The solar panel, however, does not make much electricity from falling rain. So Sun Baoquan is still working hard to improve it. The scientist also wants to make solar panels more flexible, which are as soft as clothing.
The field of solar energy is developing(发展)fast. Scientists around the world have been improving solar panels. Some have been working on ways to join solar panels and wind power together. Some have been trying to use sunlight to produce liquid and gas fuels.(液体和气体燃料)

    四、阅读填表(共5分)
    根据短文内容,完成图表中所缺信息。
Every day, most of us are drawing our own pictures of who we are online. We put pictures and words on Sina Weibo and Wechat; we have music to listen to and films to watch; we write how we feel in apps like Douban and Zhihu.....
The Internet keeps our likes and dislikes, our faces, and even the way we think and act online. These are our digital legacy(数字遗产) to our friends and family. They can remember us after we die. And they can even say something about what we are like.
How might we use so much personal information one day? The UK TV program Black Mirror gave one answer. In that show, a man, Ash, died in a car accident(车祸). His girlfriend Martha learned about a robot, and it could bring him “back to life”. The robot’s face, actions, language and other living ways are all from the real Ash’s digital legacy. Soon, Martha found that she could hardly tell the difference between the real Ash and the robot one. This idea might seem a little scary to some people. But you might agree that this kind of robot could be possible in the future. No one wants to let their loved ones go after they died.
Some may take back or even delete(删除)your information if you don’t use them for a long time. For example, you will lose your Taobao account(账户)if you don’t use any of Alibaba’s services for six months. Others may not do this. Users can choose 10 people they trust to get their digital legacy from Google. Google will send them the digital legacy, like the users’e-mails, photos and so on. These people can also choose to delete all their Google informartion or keep it in their own way.

    五、多任务混合阅读(共4分)

Every day, someone would knock on our door and ask for food. I didn’t want to share my food with them because after these “guests” finished the meal, only little food would be left. Everyone called them “askers”, but not Grandma. She always told me, “If your dad didn’t get the job in Florida, he could be someone like them.”
Not my dad! He would never be untidy like that.
Ray was the one to knock on our door today. The days were getting harder because we hadn’t got money from Dad for months. But Grandma still offered Ray the best food.
After lunch, Ray made a wooden cat and handed it to me as a gift. He smiled, “You can also find a sign of a cat on your mailbox. It means the family would be pleased to help.”
That’s why so many askers knocked on our door! I came up with an idea. “What’s the sign that will make people stay away?” I asked.
Ray drew three lines in the air. “It means it’s not a safe place.”
After Ray left, I checked the mailbox. I washed the sign of the cat away and drew the symbol Ray showed me.
That night, Grandma and I ate alone. I had much food, trying not to think about askers going
    hungry.
“Chet.” Suddenly, I heard someone’s voice. I looked up and found it was my dad. “Dad! You’re back!” I cried.
“Yes. I lost my job in Florida. It was a long and difficult journey for me to get back home.”
Then Dad noticed Ray’s wooden cat. I told him all about the sign of the cat.
Dad nodded, “I kept looking for those signs, too. These signs helped me a lot.”
Looking at him in dirty clothes, I kept thinking about how many doors he had knocked on and what I had done to askers like Ray! I couldn’t say a word.
When the sun came up, I ran out of the door and did what I knew I had to do. Soon the sign of the cat again showed a kind lady’s welcome. And this time, mine, too.
57.How did Chet feel about the guests at first?
    A.Unhappy. B.Afraid. C.Interested. D.Confident.

    91.例文:
    My Hometown Chengdu
My hometown Chengdu is a wonderful place located in Sichuan province, which has a long history. With rich cultural heritage, Chengdu is one of the most popular destinations for tourists in China.
There are many famous scenic spots such as Jinli, Kuanzhai Street, Tianfu Square and Chengdu Panda Base. There also stands Du Fu’s Thatched Cottage, the Temple of Zhu Geliang and some other places of historical interest. Among them, my must-go place is Kuanzhai Street. Because I can not only walk on the ancient streets but also buy something in traditional houses or stores there. I nearly go there three to four times a month. Besides, as Chengdu people are fond of eating, they have created many delicious food such as Zhong Boiled Dumplings, Dandan Noodles, Lai Tangyuan and some others. If you come here, don’t miss the must-try food, Dandan Noodles. Because the gravy of the noodles is really special and delicious. I eat Dandan Noodles almost every day. Furthermore, watching a Sichuan Opera Show will also provide you with unforgettable and precious memories. The delicate face-changing in Sichuan Opera has become a symbol of Sichuan culture. At the same time, Chengdu also has comfortable weather for people who live there. Even the weather in winter is still warmer than many other cities in China.
I love Chengdu and I hope that my hometown will get more and more beautiful!
