If she really travelled to the past then her Mika CD and Earth Hour wristband wouldn't be inside the time capsule. She opens it very carefully. To her surprise, none of her things are there. Instead, other different things are in it. There's a record, a penknife, a 1975 map of Port Prime and a copy of the Prime News newspaper dated February 27h, 1976. And there's a letter from Tom to her.

After that party, Beth often appeared in Mr. Laurence's house, coming and going unseen. She lost herself in playing the piano there. She never knew that Mr. Laurence opened his study door to hear the music. She only knew he was kind, and she enjoyed herself heartily.

Beth hurried on. At the door her sisters stopped her, all pointing and all saying at once, "Look there! Look there!" Beth did look, and turned pale with delight and surprise, for there stood a little cabinet piano, with a letter lying on the glossy lid, saying" "For Miss Elizabeth March"

"For me?" gasped Beth, holding onto Jo.

"Yes, all for you, my precious!" cried Jo, hugging her sister and offering the note. "You read it! I can't, I feel so excited!" said Beth. Jo opened the paper and began to read:

"Miss March, I have had many pairs of slippers in my life, but I never had any that suited me so well as yours. I like to pay my debts, so I know you will allow "an old gentleman" to send you something which once belonged to the little granddaughter he lost. With hearty thanks and best wishes. Your grateful friend, James Laurence. "

Mobile phones and Personal Digital Assistants （PDAs） have many metals and plastic. When we choose to recycle mobile phones and other such devices, it can not only help to save the resources within, but also reduce greenhouse gas emissions（排放）.

Reasons to Recycle Mobile Phones

Only about 10-15 % of the mobile phones used in the UK are recycled. We can and should do better. Here's why:

If we could recycle over 130 million mobile phones in the UK every year, we would provide enough energy for around 24 homes for a year.

There are all kinds of materials in mobile phones, such as gold, silver, palladium, copper, etc. With the reducing of metal reserves, the metals inside the mobile phones are more valuable than ever.

There's poison in the mobile phone materials which would pollute air, groundwater, and soil. It also causes serious health problems for both humans and animals.

The Recycling Process

Mostly the organizations prefer the recycle of the old mobile phones in some other part of the world, often in the developing countries to ensure that the phones are not immediately thrown into the dustbin if they are still working.

We can take out and recycle batteries. We can heat the phone shells and change them into dust. Microphones, speakers, screws, and battery connectors, etc are some of the important parts that could be reused.

A simple website search would list you companies recycling mobile phones in the UK.
