Step 1 Leading-in
1. Show students a video and some sentences and get them to know what attributive are.
Titanic is the best film that I have ever seen.
It is the only film that I have seen ten times.
Step 2 Explanation
☆ 在复合句中修饰名词、代词或整个主句的从句是定语从句
☆ 被定语从句修饰的词是先行词,引导定语从句的词叫做 关系代词 或 关系副词 。
☆ 关系代词和关系副词有三大作用,即连接(连接定语从句和主句)、替代(替代前面的先行词)、成分(在定语从句中要充当一定的句子成分)。
定语从句一定放在先行词之后。

一、who指人,在从句中可做主语。
- Jack, who is a poor guy, won a ticket and boarded the boat.
- Jack who is a poor guy won a ticket and boarded the boat.
二、whom指人, 在从句中作宾语, 可省略。
e.g. Jack is the man (whom) everyone envies.
三、that指人或物, 在定语从句中做主语或宾语, 作宾语时可以省略。
- Rose that is born in a upper-class family, is a beautiful girl.
- Titanic is the best film (that) I have ever seen.
四、which 指物, 在句中作主语或宾语, 作宾语时可以省略。
- Titanic, which is about a love story, is popular among us.
- Titanic is a love story , which we all love.
五、whose 指人或物,在从句中作定语。
e.g. Rose, whose mother is very strict, doesn't like Jack.

Step 5 Homework
- Revise the usage of relative pronouns by reading the sentences which we have learnt in this period
- Write two or three sentences to describe your friends or teacher using attributive clauses.
VII. Reflection
本堂课教师基于对文本和学情的细致分析,确定了本课的教学目标,并基于教学目标设计了六个层次的的教学活动,包括创设情境,激发已知,梳理知识点,学生归纳,实战练习等。体现了学习理解,应用实践,迁移创新活动的有效实施。活动之间的内在逻辑清楚,层层递进,体现了综合性,关联性和实践性的特点。由于任务设计明确,要求具体,可操作性强,为学生主动参与,积极思考,互助合作提供了保障。最后的作业设计包括所学内容的任务,也包括了扩展性任务,分层可选择的作业有效地兼顾了学生的个体差异。本堂课的引入部分只用了一些图片,还不够生动。学生的自主学习还不够,在今后的设计中应注意这两方面。
